GOV-002 Union Acts
THE UNION ACTS
AUTHORED SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2001
We the Representatives, the Governing bodies of the Imperial Rasinate of Q'attera-Macusiaa,
Commonwealth of Interland, Free Republic and the Hegemon of Alexandros hereby
consolidate our nations, to form a single indivisible and perpetual nation
state. We are now hereby one forever. Our Peoples are now our People, and our
posterities are now our posterity. We hereby formally and officially seal
this the Union Acts.
1. The Imperial Rasinate of Q'attera-Macusiaa, Commonwealth of Interland, Free Republic and the
Hegemon of Alexandros shall each in their own respective manner pass and sign
the Union Acts, thereby pledging unity and the formation of a new nation.
2. Upon such time as the Imperial Rasinate of Q'attera-Macusiaa, Commonwealth of Interland,
Free Republic and the Hegemon of Alexandros legally sign the Union Acts; two
delegates from each of the four signatory nations shall be chosen by the
respective nations to form the Constitutional Committee.
3. The Constitutional Committee shall have a maximum of eight total delegates.
3.1 The method by which the delegates are chosen shall be determined by the
jurisdiction, which chose the delegates.
3.2 Delegates may only be recalled from the Constitutional Committee by the
home jurisdiction of the delegate.
3.21 A Delegate's tenure in office is only limited by the home jurisdiction
of the delegate.
4. The Constitutional Committee shall be vested with the power to draft a
Constitution for the new nation.
4.1 Three Quarters of the Delegates of the Constitutional Committee must
approve of a Constitution in order for the Constitution to be the official
law of the land for the new nation.
4.2 Until such time as no Constitution has been ratified by the
Constitutional Committee, the Union Acts shall be the law of the land for the
new nation.
4.3 The Constitutional Committee shall have the power to mediate disputes
between the four signatories of the Union Acts, to hear judicial cases, which
may arise upon appeal and upon the discretion of the Delegates to hear the
said case, and the power to declare war on a non-signatory nation.
4.4 The Constitutional Committee shall meet weekly and shall meet either on
AIM or ICQ, the date and time to be set by the delegates.
4.5 An EzBoard shall be established for general purposes of the Committee.
5. The signatory nations of the Union Acts shall hereby eliminate the borders
between the respective nations of this Act, thereby permitting open
immigration, and free commerce.
5.1 The signatory nations of the Union Acts hereby pledge peace, and a common
defense, whereby an attack on one of the signatory nations is deemed to be an
attack on all signatory nations.
6. The signatory nations shall be admitted into the new nation in the
following manner;
Imperial Rasinate of Q'attera-Macusiaa: Q'attera, Macusiaa, Kreutzberg, and Argaal
Commonwealth of Interland; Jaris, New South Halifax, North Interland
Territory, and Nova Bryn
Free Republic; Caput Popularis, Free Republic, Norad, and the Skerry Isles
The Hegemon of Alexandros; Hyperborea, Machiavellia, Shireroth, and Yardistan
6.1 A total of twelve states shall be admitted into the new nation.
7. The Heads of State of the new nation shall be Lord Diga of the IRQM and
Emperor Edward I of Pacifica.
