Like a lot of great bands, "CLOCKWORK" has its origins in gospel music, originally debuting in 1985 as a trio: Rick & Maria Baxter and Rachel ( Gilbert )Anderson. Rick played accoustic guitar and the three used tight harmonies and a lively story telling style in the group's early years. Rick Anderson came along in 1986 and married Rachel.  After a hiatus from music ( due to babies being born, etc!), the band took a new direction and Rick A. started playing drums, with Dave Fithian soon added as bass player and the band was created in its current form: Rick Baxter on keyboards, guitar, vocals, Maria on lead vocals, Dave on bass and vocals and Rick A. on drums.  After 6 yrs. of trying to balance the band,their German Shepherd Dog Kennel and family commitments, Rachel reluctantly admitted she needed to reduce her involvement as back-up and high end harmony, or not be good at any of them and left the group.
"CLOCKWORK" is a blend of our musical backgrounds: country, blues, Floyd from me; a strong jazz element from Rick B.;   a rock n' roll Seger/Springsteen style from Dave; upbeat lyrics from Maria....Put it all together and we're having a GOOD time.....we hope you do too.
