About Ridge Racer Ghost Save Files:
Ridge Racer PSP offers an interesting feature within the Timeattack mode. Because of the way save files are handled on the Memory Card Duo, Timeattack Ghosts can be shared and distributed. This fan site is dedicated in the pursuit of perfecting the time attack and showing it off!
DRIVE BOLD and SHOW THE WORLD! That's our motto here!
Stored on the file directory of: \PSP\SAVEDATA\ you'll find your "time attack ghosts."
After backing up your own time attack ghosts (TAG) you can easily download the ghosts posted here (on the right side) and unzip them into your own save data directory on your MSDuo. Please note the readme.txt added to each folder for driver details and credits. Submissions will not be posted without you including these additional notes. Just send me your zipped up Ghosts and if it's a new one for us or faster than a previously posted TAG, we'll post yours instead.

I've been too busy to update, but the kid's a winner. I'll have to concede all of the ghosts to fact that he's just faster. Mainly it's the fact that he has very good line control coming out of turns and drives stick. I've been able to gain on some corners but that damn manual style is just faster on the line and at the top end. He's really that good and I don't have the time right now to retrain for manual and to get up to form to compete. I may be able to get close driving auto, but he's really that good. Maybe the best. Check out his site, linked last. I'm not going to update every one of my links to his cause he already posted them.
He's that good. Since no one was keeping up to form at work and any other online source, I lost interest and stopped playing for weeks. After we code release on my Christmas games, I'll maybe have time and energy to retrain and give him a try. Yes, I'm really that busy at work.

So now there's a new kid on the block by the name of Jimmy T. He sent me a link to his ghosts that initialy have beat a few of mine, the ones that he posted. Maybe he couldn't beat some of the crazier track ghosts that I have. Sucker is fast on 765 though! At least I managed to update my Class 4 Seaside 765 to beat his!

I've updated all of my ghosts now for Class 6 yet again! The funny thing is that many of them were in fact made while on vacation to NYC, and a cruise to the Caribian. I've also been able to clock a Class 6 DRC lap time of 1'03.934" for that special NYC racer to challenge.

I got this notice from the NYC PSP Meetup group
"Dear Armadillo,
On behalf of the NYC PSP Meetup group, we would like to inform you that we are no longer going to post your Ridge Racer times and we may go so far as to erase all the times you have given us. The reasoning behind this is that this group was created for people in NYC, not worldwide. I'm sure there is a worldwide leaderboard somewhere that you will destroy. Good luck with that. If you move to NYC, let us know. Keep up the good work. -Wicked"
So no they reverted the scores back to the Pre-Armadillo scores. I'm going on vacation for two weeks. I may have a whole new set of ghosts up when I get back. I can find anyone to keep pushing my times faster so we'll see. Someone from the NYC group said that they were about to break my times. (w/in 1/2 a sec or so) We'll see what he comes up with. I did the last set of Class 6 times all in a day or two so I think that there's plenty of time for improvement.
The Namco Ace drivers should be coming back with some fast times/ghost soon. The guy was really busy on another project apparently.

I've updated all of my ghosts now for Class 6. This is really for the guys on the NYC PSP group RR leader boards. They want to try to show me up but I bet my ghosts give them a few DNF's for their money!

Today I won a local Gamestop RR tourney. Too bad only 4 people showed up. It was sad cause they were expecting like 30. I honestly wanted as many people to show as possible. I reall y want some high end competition. Namco guys, when are you showing up? I saw what I think is a marketing guy from Namco there. He didn't race or anything but went prolly to check it out.
Last week my Waterfield PSP bag came in the mail. I really like it and think that it's the best bag out there if you want to carry all of your PSP stuff together.
I've been reading around the web and I found a NYC meetup RR Leader board. They've got some great times posted there for class 6 but I'll try to smash them all. It's just about me getting around to racing all of the Class 6 tracks which I usually don't race much at. I really have much more fun figuring out how to make class 4 go faster.

I just got in my Action stick from Brando. It's a replacement for the analog stick knub. I really like it as it feels way more comfortable and doesn't wear badly on my thumb. In the same pack I got the Brando recharging stand. I didn't like this as much because it's just a stand adaptor for the recharge kit.
I also recommend the Hori UMD cases as I've found them to be well made as well as very small and non-bulky.
I've also updated my class 4 Seaside 765 with a new Ghost with NEW record smashing times. The best lap itself was 47.529 seconds.

In an effort to bring to you guys more cool stuff. I've created a zip of the files you need to create the simple hack for having a PSP icon for when your PSP or MCDuo is plugged into your computer. I didn't created it, I just made the hack easier to replicate. There's a readme in the zip.

Today we are launching this site dedicated to RR PSP time attack ghosts. Stay tuned as we are getting this site together and gather files. The challenge is being sent to Namco's own QA group for TAG files. PEOPLE THROW DOWN!

As the launch day for PSP. (+ [___] :: ) Lines weren't that long but people all over seem really excited. In our offices the buzz was really high! I suggest that everyone pickup a Hori Crystal screen protector. Anything can scratch that PSP screen cover.
