The group went back into Dyskund yesterday, after resting up a bit in the newtling/Mru camp. Before you left, you scouted out the ruins of the Pola stead and Tarranyr found a secret entrance in the rubble that seemed to lead into the caverns. You also found recent tracks, probably of the ogres. During the rest, you tried to track down a broo band that was sighted in the North Bog but ran into Magnus Pike's militia instead, who had beaten you to the killing. Magnus told Arcus privately that there was some trouble in Sun County; visions of evil in a village, and help was needed at nearby Queenscliff whose militia were decimated by nomad raids. Arcus told Magnus about The One's duel and Magnus seemed to be ready for it.
Tison recovered from his bout with the Wasting Disease and the crew headed into Dyskund. In the secret tunnel (a crawlspace) the group ran into lots of gorp that were very pesky in cramped conditions like this, but luckily Tison's "Pavic blessings" (dragon spittle) payed off and zapped several of them as you retreated. The crawlspace seemed to link up with the crawl to the mucky cavern but you decided not to venture deeper.
You backtracked and went in another entrance to inspect the submerged tunnels. To sum it up, you fought lots of dragonsnails and gorp (some of them really nasty; Caernak almost died again) and mapped a lot of tunnels. Finally you found a submerged hot springs leading to a series of tight squeezes filled with gorp. Ugh. You lured a few of them out to be blasted and then Dorgon strove in. After some difficulties he made it thru the squeezes into a large cave studded with crystals!! He picked up a few, noticing hundreds more including a giant (10m x 5m) glowing crystal that set his nerves on edge. You returned with the crystals and found that 3/7 were chaotic, 2 were 5MP dead crystals, 1 was 3MP, and the last was a Martyr Ruby, the blood of Arroin and a POW2 living healing focusing crystal. Nice.
