It (not really he/she but "he" works informally) is a creature of the Sky River, born of Lorian the sky titan. Lorian sent it to the Land River, Zola Fel, as an emissary and servant to help the Cleansed One fight chaos. It does not worship anything because it is divine in origin anyway; it's above petty mortal worship. Yes, it's immortal (never aging; somewhat ignorant of time). Srussut was positioned on the Hero Plane to join the first Cleansed One heroquestors who came to it, and return to the mortal realm to help Zola Fel battle chaos there. He serves the group, but has bonded best with Tarranyr, who took the egg from the heroplane. Recall that Skyriver Titan (= Lorian) fought with a chaos general in the Gods War at a huge chaos city in Dragon Pass, and was speared and badly wounded by that general (not sure of name). That wound never healed, so part of the Skyriver continually falls on the earth from the sky, creating the place called Skyfall Lake. That lake coincidentally drowned the chaos city! It is now in the center of the troll queendom called Dagori Inkarth. Reportedly, trolls dredge the lake with giant nets to hunt for strange beasts and occasional Godswar artifacts.

Lorian [LOR-ee-an] Merman and Yelm pantheons -- Sky River Titan Lorian is a sea god who invaded the sky and overcame the fire gods during the Gods War. Ever since then a celestial river has surrounded a part of heaven, and from there waters descend to earth. Lorian is shown in solar temples as a blue god, tailed like a fish, but otherwise handsome and powerful. Lorion entered the Sky and turned it from Gold to Blue, becoming the Great Sky River Titan.
