OK, a quick review. You slogged past the place where you killed the murkwind polyp (aka Turmug Irontoe) and continued down the "Devil's Smear" passage, which got more watery and less oozy. Soon you spotted 6 dragonsnails down the tunnel, and they looked mean. They were, but not in response to lots of missile fire. Suffice it to say that you clobbered them.
500m further down the passage it ended at a cliff, and as you rounded the bend to see this you saw 12 horned eyes (SIZ 20 each) on tentacle legs, and a tentacled thing that was playing a bronze pipe while sitting next to a yawning chaos void. This was one tough fight! Just about everyone got wounded (oh yeah... CONx5 rolls for disease next time) and there were close calls with Elohwyn, Pachala, etc. But ya killed em without losing anyone. The void was still open; Taleo said that it would close soon and release a (hopefully minor) chaos thing.
You were very drained of magics, but saw that the cliff overlooked a huge (>100m diameter) silent (no sounds down there... spooky) cavern with a big pool in the center. Pallid slimy trees, naked of leaves, border the pool, which is fairly deep (at least 10-20m). Inside the pool was The Eye of Wakboth, SIZ 120 with 12 grasping tentacles and 12 horned tentacles. There were 4 dragonsnails down there and a greenish pod that split open to release a nasty SIZ 60 tentacle-faced thing. As you surveyed the scene and prepared to do something, the big tentacle-face climbed up the cliff partway and teleported behind you. It swung with its tentacle, almost knocking Caernak into the void (=oblivion). You engaged it while others ran off as the tentacles from The Eye started coming at you. You retreated while fighting and the tentacle-face teleported away as you outran the Eye's tentacles.
You made it back with Dorgon to the Krarshti maze, where you met Olag Stonecrusher, Kaarg's Son (rune lord) of Kyger Litor and his great troll bodyguard. Olag thought you were Krarshti or something and attacked, killing Zusimar, and wounding Pachala, but Tarranyr enchanted Taleo with a Clever Tongue spell, allowing Taleo to convince Olag that you were OK folks. Olag's party was headed into the mazes to kill Krarshti but invited you (Pachala and one other) to meet him later that week in the Troll Stronglands at Thunderbreath Gobbleguts restaurant to talk about going to kill The Eye. This restaurant is reknowned as a place where authentic magical troll cuisine and brew is served. Reportedly, troll food/drink has unpredictable effects on humankind. Dorgon got resurrected and you sighed with relief at being home again for another week.
