Great gaming yestderday, I had lots of fun. I'm still laughing about Morta's surprising death; quite an ignoble ending for poor helpless old Morta. I also think all of you are doing some great roleplaying, getting into character and thinking carefully about your actions. Likewise, you've been playing your PCs very smartly. You've been facing really deadly adversaries and beating them consistently and often resoundingly.
If there's one thing that I'd like to see change, it's better bookkeeping. You're starting to accumulate a lot of wealth and items, and on several occasions confusion has arisen over where items came from, whether their magic had been used up, how much money you have left, etc. We need to keep better track of such things. For example, when you find an item and I give a description of it, that description needs to be noted. The details can be important -- a Disruption matrix in a lead ring has different implications than one in a gold ring. A storm rune vs. a fire rune on an item have different meanings as well. All of these details affect how much items are worth, or their usefulness in some situations. So more than "disrupt matrix" needs to be written down. The details also make the items more interesting and less run-of-the-mill "5MP crystal"-ish. I will be very strict in Puzzle Canal w.r.t. what your PC has on his/her person. If you don't have it written down on your equipment list and counted in your encumbrance, you don't have it with you. To better this goal, I will be making a new equipment/magic sheet for everyone to keep track of items on. Just a minor note, though (and not targeted at any one person); overall things have been going very smoothly.
