Primary Allies and Other Acquaintances:

The River Cult:

Reverend Sa’arachmbro: Longtime High Priest newtling of the Zola Fel cult, in Corflu.  Much admired and respected by all, and deserves it.

Brighteye: Grumpy catfish priest of the Cleansed One cult, at the Pool of Kinope.  An incorrigible but wise father figure.

The naiad Kinope:  Pure and sweet divine source of inspiration for the River Voices; most blessed daughter (nymph) of Zola Fel.

Reverend Shurahka:  Newest Pavic priestess who brings hope to the River Voices, showing wisdom, skill, and dedication as well as scholarly knowledge from the Lhankor Mhy cult.  A widely-traveled friend of Shennin Ashal, and a renowned heroquester.

Reverend Che’enshashan (retired):  Indecisive, passive, meek, and inept former newtling priest of the Zola Fel Temple Barge.  Replaced Amina in 1616; replaced by Shurahka in 1625 when he reached adulthood and went to join his tribe as an elder, at a very convenient moment.

Reverend Amina (deceased):  Former Pavis Mru priestess who died of old age and sickness the same day that the first new River Voices were chosen and blessed by the river.

Shennin Ashal (deceased):  The morokanth priestess of the Cleansed One cult; had follower newtling warriors named nothing other than “A” and “B.”  A great leader for the River Voices until she died in 1622 or so while heroquesting to save the river from great chaos, and was betrayed by Lunar heroquesters who set traps in her path.

Ssrussut:  A sky-river spirit with healing and magic-draining powers that now serves the River Voices.  He is a flying blue bolt of glowing energy in snakelike form, whom the party brought back from a heroquest after slaying the Eye of Wakboth.

“Rup”:  An embodied Traskar (giant frog possessed by a river spirit) that serves Caernak as a friend.

Greyreed:  Once a young boy who marveled at the new River Voices and asked them to help remove a gorp from his otter Moonsilver’s den.  Now a grown man who has returned to live his dream and become a River Voice himself.  Blessed by the river in many ways, including a talent for mindlinking with giant otters.

In Pavis:

Bendrath:  The reserved, dedicated and patient Pavis priest at the Real City temple, who has been the River Voice’s main benefactor and ally in the city over the years.

Windwhistler:  The proud, gold-loving Sun Dragon wyrm of Griffin Gate, who has enjoyed trading gold and stories of battles with trolls or legends of dragon lore with the River Voices, particularly dragon-obsessed Tison.

Punt:  The jolly, drum-pounding, rhyming giant of the Rubble that has befriended the River Voices, whom he calls “Truthbonders” when he’s really happy, or just “punies” otherwise.  He has a crush on Elohwyn, enjoys Tison’s magical toomalee (a stone rod that conjures magical music and sparkling light that giants love), and honors Caernak the leader for his help with The Cradle.  He was trapped for years by Lunar magic but was released when the Lunars were driven out of Pavis, and the River Voices helped him find the “Lost Child” (baby ghost) that he sought before.  Now he sings happily in the Rubble and kicks things around for fun.

Bruebegahn Bashwell and Olag Stonecrusher:  Two Kaarg’s Sons of Kyger Litor; fierce but honorable troll warriors that have each worked with the River Voices on a few different occasions.

Ettir the Sly:  Amazing new Governor of Pavis county and head of the New Teeth covenant in Free Pavis.  Multitalented New Pavisite with many connections, who was blessed by Orlanth with a dream of a song to bind the people of Pavis together against the Lunars.

Miloh the Shrewd:  Another New Teeth operative who has worked with the party for years.  Apparently a smuggler of sorts who moves some of his goods through Wyrmsjaw Fort.  Doesn’t reveal much else about himself.

Captain Nervon Kline:  Commander of the Real City Armed Escorts and Old Pavic Watch.  A good friend of Bendrath and others in the Real City.  Some say he is in the New Teeth as well.

Ithas Resh, Jr.:  Miltary leader of the Pavis Survivors cavalry and loyal friend of Bendrath.  Worked in tandem with the River Voices to help them claim Wyrmsjaw Fort initially (in 1616), at the cost of many of his men fighting the Gagarthi there.  Now a proud, defiant ruler of the Free Pavic Cavalry.

N’kwana Strongeagle:  Eccentric Sword of Humakt who has left his Fireblood clan of the Agimori (Pachala’s clan) to serve the New Pavis Humakt temple. Always speaks of promoting peace among the nomads in order to better fight chaos and other foes.  Has an iron left arm and is one of the best warriors in the land.

Daemon Mooncleaver and Korlo Bariksson:  Barbarian storm-worshippers who openly served the Cold Wind yet lived to see the end of the Lunar Empire in Pavis, much to their glee.  Stubborn, manipulative, deceitful, and tough warriors who have tussled with the River Voices on occasion.

Spear Lily:  Wood Lord of Aldrya from the River Elves of Puzzle Canal, under the command of the warrior Thornbow.  Chief contact with the River Voices among the Murthoi.

Down South:

The One (aka The One of Five Eyes): The dream dragon who lives in the main cavern of Five Eyes Rise.  An ancient monster of belly blue as the sky, armored back dusty brown like the dry hills of its lair, and five ever-watchful eyes that strike fear into Its enemies.  The locals call The One Krang, but those who know It better simply call it The One, when they dare to speak of it at all.  Served by five fanatical warrior dragonewts, a secretive tailed priest named Master Insight, a fiery wyrm, a carnivorous “battleceratops,” and a violent, eccentric tribe of newtlings.

Blood-Vengeance-of-Newtlings (BVoN): Warrior dragonewt and former River Voice who served a stint with the heroes but returned to serve The One and lead the 5 eyes newtlings that he so strangely loved.

The Five:  Hunter, Leader, Killer, Scout, and Doomed, the five one-eyed newtlings that fought for and against the River Voices on occasion, but have most recently been won over by the heroics of Caernak and company, and now pledge their services to them.  Fierce warriors without mercy or compassion.

Whitetail:  Mysterious, seldom-seen newtling shaman-priest of the Five Eyes Newtlings.

Ruupak: Kindly, gentle, simpleminded, and excruciatingly sluggish magisaur river priest of Five Eyes.

Duke Raus of Rone, Lord of Ronegarth (aka Raus Fort):  Controversial ruler of the Grantlands south of Sun County.  One of the few Lunars who has (mostly, so far) dealt with the party honorably and with mutual respect and an open mind despite some great differences.  He has had feuds with the 5 eyes newtlings for years, but the River Voices have brokered a fragile peace between them lately.  Raus is served well by his hateful, xenophobic but talented Scimitar named Daine, his introspective priest Daryli Godspeaker, and many able warriors of diverse skills.  His daughter Jezra loves to cause trouble, such as being kidnapped by tusk riders or stymying suitors.

Sorex and Gulo:  Two Humakti from Ronegarth who have been sent to join the River Voices.

Elsewhere:

King Nekeros:  The benevolent island lord whom the River Voices helped free from God Learner enslavement long ago (1617).

Barran Monster-Killer:  Valiant heroquesting sailor who worked with (or tricked into working with) the River Voices to slay various sea monsters.  Served by his first mate Amur, the Fonritian spokesman for his band.

Frel Icewind:  A reckless Wolf Pirate who took the River Voices to a Stormshell Isle where other God Learner sorcery was destroyed.  Didn’t get along with Tarranyr, but liked Elohwyn’s womanly charms very much.

Ankubi Broostalker:  Pachala’s Storm Bull High Khan of the Fireblood clan of Agimori, usually found somewhere down south of Raus Fort with his clan.  Has formed the Obsidian Ring of Storm Bulls, a deviant hero cult who are able to go berserk yet maintain their composure in battle.  Has slain Muriah and done many other great feats, but is hard to please as he demands much of his followers.

Enestaki Oddusson:  Sartarite expatriot river-merchant, age 35 (in 1625), hired by the River Voices as a “man of business” to handle their affairs in Corflu and elsewhere on the river.  Initiate of Issaries Goldentongue.  Bargain skill 80, Fast Talk 70, Human Lore 60, Evaluate 95.  A good talker and knowledgable about the river (River Lore 55).  Avoids physical combat like the plague (Cowardly 16) but loves verbal combat (Argumentative 15; passion).  Strongest connections are with Orlanthi farming communities in Pavis county, the Uz Mercantile Association in Pavis and related troll merchants in Corflu, and the river folk.  Not fond of dealing with Lunars, Sun Domers, or nomads.  Speaks Tradetalk (80), Sartarite (70), Boatspeech (50), Darktongue (50), New Pelorian (45), Pavic (30), and Praxian (15). Reads most of those, too. Shrewd but not overly deceitful or honest either.  A pragmatist.  Has spent a lot of time in Corflu lately buying + selling odd curios from across the sea, and has an eye for magical goods. (Knows Detect Magic and some uses of Analyze Magic, etc.).  He seems trustworthy and motivated, but is just as cunning negotiating with you as he is with his customers, so he pushes hard for getting his share of all deals.  He likes Mru and other peaceful folk; violent folk scare him too much.  So apparently he deals with fairly pacifistic trolls in Pavis, or at least works under the cover of daylight.

Lassiter:  Troublemaking former member of the River Voices who was never trusted, and to this day is hunted for suspected perfidy, although Elohwyn kinda likes him too.  Whereabouts unknown, but not much of a concern as he’s a coward.
