| 2003 27th July - I have added more Catatonia interviews to the website. 21st July - Cerys' new single - "caught in the middle" is now available from HMV's for �1.99 and comes in two parts. 9th July - Finally the whole website is back up and running,I have and I will be adding more things to this website, probably on an irregular basis though! If you have any ideas for new sections of the site don't hesitate to e-mail me. 26th June - Due to a looooooong time not updating this site there hasn't been any news on here - anyway, Incase you haven't visited Cerys' site it is www.cerysmatthews.info Also Cerys is just coming towards the end of her tour, and I went to see her at Islington, The concert was brilliant, I had no doubt of that. but it would have been good if it was a bit longer. Also as I haven't updated this site for so long I didn't mention at the time, Cerys' album Cockahoop being released. So if you haven't got it, buy it! I have decided to keep this Paper Scissors Stone theme for the website design, because it took me a long time to do in the first place, plus I like it, and I might aswell spend my time updating other things that are useful than spending my time updating something that won't make any difference to the content. Also don't forget that Cerys is playing at Glastonbury on the 29th (Sunday) - So try and catch it on the TV/Radio/Internet if possible - I have to check to see if it is going to be on any of them 2001 21st September: Sad news - Cerys has left the band - this has now been confirmed and is not a rumour. Cerys is said to be going to persue a solo career now. I don't know what else to say. 15th September: More news! - Catatonia are in this months "the fly" magazine (www.channelfly.com) with an interview in it and a few pictures. You can pick them up in most large record stores in the UK (I got my copy from HMV), from the counters, and the best thing is - it's FREE 15th September:A Catatonia documentary has been filmed which is to be broadcast on the TV in the UK later this year! The filmmakers have been following Cerys around, The crew who are working on it know Cerys. Cerys says "I wouldn't do it if they weren't" she explained "people have asked before, but it's a scary prospect. It just brings more attention to you, cos you've got the camera following you around all the time. Because they're really, really, good mates, it's more a seige mentality thing. This is my army, my frontline. It's really subverting things, I suppose. I'm quite enjoying the idea that we can just film anything and see what actually goes on. I can also say when I'm not comfortable so it's very collaborative. I like turning things on their head. People ask me questions all the time, so I'll ask them their favourite books and stuff." 11th September: Sorry I didn't add this earlier but if you didn't read it somewhere else, Cerys is now out of rehab and back home 25th August: New photo's added to the gallery 19th August: New photo's added to the gallery section of the website from Q magazine in 1999 14th August: Tour Cancelled, Cerys is expected to be spending at least another 3 weeks recovering, refunds on tickets are available from the people you purchased the tickets from. 6th August: Paper Scissors stone released today! 1st August: Catatonia have pulled out of Guildford Festival. They have been Replaced by Reef as headline on Sunday |
