"Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph." Thomas Paine

It is with a sad heart that I created this page . So many lives have been wasted needlessly in this tragedy . For those of us who were there, we only have to close our eyes to have the smoke and the carnage return, and for those who shall not return, we vow NEVER TO FORGET !

This page is dedicated in Memory of our lost RENEGADE PIG brother, Paul "AXE" Laszczynski who gave his life in the line of duty so others may live. He perished fighting what others fear !

The small minutes we all shared with you, shall remain imbedded in our hearts forever. Farewell Brother ! In your name is the true word of Brotherhood which shall live forever in the RENEGADE PIGS.

He died a WTC hero

ort Authority Officer Paul Laszczynski was quick with a grin, but when it came to his work, the man known as Big Paul was all business.

Colleagues fondly recalled Laszczynski yesterday, a day after he was pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Center. His body was found near five Port Authority police officers whose battered remains were dug out by their colleagues Saturday. Those cops were carrying a civilian and were feet from escape when the building came crashing down.

Laszczynski was found around 3 a.m. Sunday by a worker who spied a boot amid the rubble. By 5 a.m., some 20 colleagues had freed Laszczynski from the debris where the north and eastern walls of Tower One met.

And just as they've done for all uniformed heroes pulled from the rubble, workers removed their helmets, wrapped his remains in an American flag and carried him out of the pit.

Laszczynski, a PA cop for 15 years and a member of the Emergency Service Unit, was placed in an ESU truck and — in a final tribute — driven up Sixth Ave. past all the Manhattan PATH stations. Laszczynski, who would have turned 50 last week, was once honored for helping carry a man who had no legs from the 72nd floor of one of the towers after the 1993 bombing.

On Sept. 11, he rushed from the PATH command center at Journal Square in Jersey City to the twin towers. He helped evacuate people above the 20th floor and, in his last radio call, said he was with Chief James Romito, who was among those found Saturday.

"He was rescuing as many people as he could," said PA Inspector Robert Sbarra. "He was doing his job."

Laszczynski was a pistol range instructor, a softball pitcher and a member of the Wild Pigs, a group of law officers on motorcycles who raised money for charity. He was 6-feet-5 and handsome — and he knew it.

"He was Big Paul, Paulie Paparazzi," said his best friend, PA Officer Vinny Zappulla. "There wasn't a mirror or photographer Paulie didn't like. He admitted it.

"You'd see this big guy coming down the PATH concourse and he'd break into that grin, and it was contagious," said Zappulla. "He always had a joke or easy word for people."
