| Offensive Player of the Week (4/6 - 4/12) mike GRATTON Gratoony was at it again during Thursday's game against the Flying Elvises. The team's starting point guard scored nine points, leading the team. Gratton shot 2 of 4 from within the 3-point arc, drained a three, and converted both of this free throw attempts. But scoring points wasn't Gratton's lone accomplishment. Adding to his point totals were six defensive rebounds, one offensive board, and a steal. Despite the loss, Gratton provided solid leadership, especially on offense. Defensive Player of the Week (4/6 - 4/12) larry PENNEY-FURINO Starting at center, Penney-Furino once again made a powerful defensive statement against the Flying Elvises. The 6'4" center grabbed eight defensive boards and netted three steals. Adding to the defensive boards were two offensive rebounds and four total points. Teamed with a solid front line that included 6'1" Chris Harisis, Penney-Furino played tenacious defense against the tough Flying Elvises. His work in the post kept the game close and allowed the Outlaws to establish an inside presence. Sixth Man of the Week (4/6 - 4/12) joaquin DENOYA It was a rare non-start for Denoya, but coming off the bench proved to be not too difficult a task. Denoya scored six points, including a three-pointer to keep the game close at the end. Denoya also chipped in four defensive rebounds and a steal, clearly bringing in solid energy while starting the game on the bench. Though the game resulted in a loss for the Outlaws, Denoya showed his heart at the end, combining with others to lead an attempted comeback. His inside-outside presence once again helped solidify the team as a whole. |
