| A - A basic offensive setup after making a basket. B - After a made basket, the "1" and "2" (guards) pinch forward towards the inbounds play. The "3" and "4" (forwards) drop back to the timeline, looking to intercept any long-range passes. The "5" (center) drops back to serve as the safety man under the defensive team's own basket. C - The defensive positioning after the ball has been inbounded. D - The "1" and "2" continue to aggressively attempt to force a turnover, while always keeping in front of the play, never trailing. The "3" pushes forward to help create a turnover, intercepting any errant passes. The "4" drops back, looking to intercept any long-range passes and provide some extra presence under the basket. E - If the press is unsuccessful in forcing a turnover, a 2-3 zone alignment can still be used in the half-court. |
