Anna walked the corridor toward her classroom. It had been a very long morning for her already and classes hadn't even begun. She'd gotten another letter from her mother, pleading with her to come home. Anna knew her father was sick, but it was the middle of term and she just couldn't leave. She wanted to go home and be with her father, but she knew he wasn't going to pass away before the end of the term. The children needed her to learn Charms, if she wasn't there how would they learn? The children really were her life.
Sitting down at her desk, Anna pulled out the classes tests from their last class period and tucked a stray strand of her chestnut-brown curly locks behind her ear. She had a few minutes despair to make sure they were all graded before they were handed back. Most of the students did very well, but not all. It was hard for the Muggle-born First Years to get a handle on Magic, and Anna understood that. She just hoped they would get a handle on it soon, for their sakes. It could be hard for them if they didn't.
Slowly Anna's class started to trickle into the classroom. She would occasionally look up to see how many children there were in the room, and each time she received a smile from one of the students. Many of them were very fond of her and Anna was glad of that. She knew it was easier to learn from a professor you liked than from a professor you didn't like.
After the bell rang, Anna waved her hand and the door closed on its own accord. She turned and smiled at her class her clear grey eyes scanning her classroom. "Welcome everyone,"she said. "I hope everyone remembers the test you had the last time we were together. I've graded them and I will be handing them back to you now." Anna picked the stack of parchment up from her desk and started to hand them back. "Many of you did well, which I am glad to see. Those of you that did not do well, don't be discouraged. As you are all first years it can be hard to adjust to being here. I know I had a hard time at first. I hope to see everyone to better on the next one."
After completing the task at hand, Anna moved to the blackboard. "Now, there were a few questions that everyone missed on this test. Question 11 was one of them. If you will turn to the question I will go over that, and then if you still have questions I will take them at that time. Now..."
Anna smiles almost all the time. She smiles when she's happy, sad, upset, amused, annoyed, crying and even when she's angry. Being good-natured sometimes has its downfalls and that is one of them. No one ever thinks she's upset because she smiles through it. While Anna does smile a lot, she does get upset rather easily. Things will upset her but she almost always puts it aside and keeps working on whatever she was doing when she was upset.
Anna always found classes enjoyable. She loved to be needed by her students. Teaching meant that she was needed by people, but there wouldn't be an emotional attatchement along with it. She didn't want to get too close to anyone, not after what had happened to her while she was at University. Long story short there was a boy whom she fell deeply in love with and he left her. There are other things that go along with that story, but they are not necessarly important to Anna now. But when Anthony left her Anna became a very guarded person, more guarded than she had ever been in the past.
Though she is very guarded and can be somewhat cold when she first meets people, Anna has had some suitors while she's been at Hogwarts. Well, they've sought her and she's completly frozen them out. She does not want to be hurt like she was when Anthonly had left her.
