| Before class begins, I would just like to tell you that Divination is rather exceptional and it is not guaranteed that you will See. This class is only to help you and give you a better understanding of the art of Divination. First off, my name is Professor Weaving and we will begin covering palmistry first. There will be homework-but it's drawing a simple diagram (No, I'm not lying; it really is simple) and isn't very hard. Supplies Needed for Class Quill Ink Parchment, or journal Unfogging the Future by Cassandra Vablatsky Unit One "Beginning Palmistry", Lesson #1: The Beginning to Palmistry - Unfogging the Future, p. 6 "Palmistry, also chiromancy, is the art of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm. Since the turn of the century, it has been regarded as a branch of fortune-telling." - By now, you should have finished reading the 1st passage. Look at the palm of our hand. As you can see, it is made up of mounts and lines-some lines thicker than others, but you aren't daft enough for me to tell you that. Palmistry is chiefly concerned with the mounts of the palm, the lines on the mounts, and the lines interlacing the palm. The left hand supposedly reflects heredity and the right hand show acquired characteristics. The left hand also supposedly shows your potential at childbirth while the right hand shows your potential for you adult life. (If your left handed, it's vice versa) I, myself, am right-handed. The hand you write with is your dominant or active hand and reflects the conscious you. The other hand (the passive hand) is more about the subconscious. So both hands must be considered to see the 'whole' person. |

| If you look at the diagram on Page 7 in your book, you can easily see the four major lines: The Heart Line, The Life Line, The Head Line, and the Fate Line. At this moment, ignore the others. Assignment: Since we will be going over these lines in the next lesson, your assignment is to draw your dominant hand and the correct length and position of your own four major lines. Basically, draw your hand and add your four major lines-be accurate, please and remember to label! Look at the diagram on page 7 in your book for guidance. You can do the artwork on your computer's Paint program, Photoshop, etc. and then save it onto your computer. Hand it into me with the attached file, name, house, and year. NOTE: IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE COLORED OR BE ALL FANCY-SCHMANCY. However, more effort equals more points! : ) I will NOT be grading on artistic ability. If you are unable to complete this due to confusion or inability to access an art program on your computer, owl me. |
