About us Diablo II: Lord of Destruction

Gameplay: 5/5
D2 and D2:LoD are definatly worth your money. In the game you start off by choosing a character. The characters are Paladin, a holy warrior, Sorceress, a Fire Ice Lightning spellcaster, Barbarian, a brute fighter, Amazon, a girl who uses spears and bows, and Necromancer, a old guy who raises the dead and uses dark magic. If you have the expansion, you also get the Druid, a man skilled with summoning and using the powers of nature, and the assassin, who is skilled with traps and phiscal fighting. The game is basically a point and click adventure. Click where you want to go, and you'll run there. If your not running, your walking, because your out of stamina. With countless spells, auras, tehcniques and abilities, the game still continues to amaze me. Aside from adding to skills by leveling, each level you also get stat points. These can be used on Stregnth, Dexterity, Vitality, and Energy. Depending on what character you are and what skills you plan to use you should increase theres differently. Vitality is usually a main part of any characters stat build. Most also have to add some to stregnth and some to dexterity, since items require that you have so much of it to wear them. The game never gets old with thousands of items, and different ways to build each character, 3 different difficultys, and online play. This game definatly deserves a 5/5.

Story: 4/5
Too me the story isnt that important in this game. Its there and its good but i never really cared about it that much. Every character has long speeches that i never really cared to listen too, because i was far more interested in the gameplay. There are great quality cut scenes at the beginning and ends of the game, and in between the chapters, or acts. The game normally hold 4 acts, but with the expansion there is a whole new act to enjoy with all new quests. Quests are a main part of the game, some are required some are not. There are 6 quests in every act except for act 4. In act 1, you only have to really beat the 6th one, which is the boss. In act 2 though, you have to beat all of them except for the 1st one. The game has a lot of variety and is really fun if you play online and level up with friends and play all night long.

Visuals: 4/5
The visuals of the cutscenes would be rated a 6/5 at the time of the games release. Back then even the graphics must of been considered top notch. The ingame
visuals put you at a 3/4 helicopter view. Nothing much to say here, the control and on screen toolbar are simple to use, you set your leftclick to attack or a usuable left click skills, and your right click to a skill. You have a belt with 4 rows of potion slots, in which you can click on them or press 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Sound: 3/5
The music isnt anything special. The sounds all fit, like if you were to slash a sword it sounds like your slashing a sword. Nothing much to put here. There isnt a big loud music sequence after you beat a boss. Its nothing inspiring.

Replay Value: 5/5
The games replay value is great. With 7 characters and so many different skills and abilitys to focus on for each one you can make tons and tons of charcaters. With free online play it expansd the game so that you can trade for better items and play together.

Overall: 21/25
This game is a definate buy.
