Eriadain Review
|
.
All in all, Eriadain was an Ok game. It wasn't total shit, but it
wasn't good either. It bordered right on the ordinary line. When
the game starts, the dialog is quite good, with some decent imagery
thrown in. It gets interesting when you see that there is a question
based system adopted into the game. Questions you answer change
the outcome of your journey, which I found amusing. So the replay
value is somewhat increased due to different variations of the game.
And if your sick of playing as a guy, choose a girl as your main
character. As you can see, some decent ideas went into the
making of this game. Sadly it doesn't seem to have been enough.
All in all, I'd say some really good effort went into the idea of
a really great game, but fell a little short in the long run.
Sound
I noticed a lot of well known midi played on this game. Nothing original.
Graphics
All default graphics with some pretty bad looking maps. Some custom art
thrown into the cut scenes, but nothing spectacular. Also, they just
seemed out of place.
Difficulty
At first It didn't seem to bad, but then I got stuck at this one point
and couldn't get past it.But up until the point I get stuck, the battle
system seems ok.
Story
The story seemed quite interesting, though not very original. You play as
an Avatar who is out to save a land called Brittania from an evil lord who
is bent on destroying it all.
