Card Tricks
Trick 1: "Say stop"
Submitted by: Spike.
Effect: The cards are looked through and a spectator says stop. The performer then says the name of the card on top without looking at it.
Difficulty: Easy but quite a lot of practice required
Method: Before the trick make sure you memorise the top card. This isn't hard to do, especially if it is done as a party trick in front of a few freinds. Flick through the cards with your thumb or finger and ask a member of the audience to say stop. At the moment you are handing them the pile to take the top card, slip the card from the very top onto the top of the place where they told you to stop. You do this so quickly that they do not see. You can then astonish them by saying the name of their card almost before they have seen it. You can then prove you are not cheating by doing it blindfolded. This takes a lot more practice as you can imagine. This trick you can perform twice as it is difficult to spot. Don't do it more than twice ever.
