1. INSTALLATION:
To install the D'ni font in Windows 95, just copy "dnifont.ttf" into the
C:\Windows\Fonts directory.

Replacing with an updated version, first delete the old font file from the
C:\Windows\Fonts directory, then copy in the new one.

2. DESCRIPTION:
The file "dnifont.ttf" is a TrueType font of the complete D'ni
alphabet, including the 35 known characters and 2 punctuation marks,
as well as the D'ni number symbols from 0 to 25.

I've included some of the normal English punctuation and math symbols,
but the 'period' and 'apostrophe' are the D'ni equivalents.

3. KEYBOARD MAPPING:
Note: The apostrophe is the single quote key under the double quote. The
period is the standard period key, not shifted.

The D'ni characters are mapped to the keyboard keys as follows...

4. AUTHOR'S STATEMENT.
This TrueType font has been created from information gathered from official
Cyan Inc. sources, as well as from other D'ni historian's research. A great
deal of time was spent in verifying the D'ni character translations.

It is possible that there may be updates to this font. If you would like to
be notified when these occur, email me at leelan@owt.com and I'll include
your name on the update list.

6. UPDATE INFORMATION:
V 1.10 update: Closed spacing between characters to give more of a connected appearance.
Touched up some of the characters.

V 1.20 update: As verified by RAWA (Richard A. Watson, lead programmer, Cyan, Inc.), the
symbol for zero has been changed from a box with a slash to a box with a dot. Also, the
single-symbol for 25 has been added. This is an alternative D'ni symbol, used only under
certain circumstances.

V 1.30 update: Corrected bug where typing a space followed by a number symbol would
replace the space with the symbol for 25. This was due to inadvertant mapping of
the symbol for 25 to two character codes. Also, remapped the D'ni apostrophe back to
the single quote key under the double quote.

V 1.4 update: Corrected the Readme.txt "keyboard mapping" table. The mapping for "d" and
"dh" were reversed. Typing the "D" key will produce the correct accented D'ni symbol.
Typing a "d" will produce the un-accented symbol.
