In the 80's and 90's, Flying Buffalo, Inc put out a series of book in their Catalyst products known as the Citybooks. They consisted of several individual establishments that would be found in a fantasy city, complete with maps, and the owners/help. There were the typical taverns, armor shop etc, the thing is, most of them would have a "twist" of some type that made it particularly interesting. In the series, there are 8 books -- the first 3 of them particularly excellent. These first three had a lot of participation (editing, art, producing, written) by some prominent people now in gaming when they first started -- Larry DiTillio (also wrote for Captain Power, and Transformers Beast Wars TV Shows), Micheal Stackpole (of Battletech and Star Wars novels), and Liz Danforth (did some really cool illustrations for Wizard's Magic cards.)

Anyways, with a new mapper I just got called Izandawo (from realmcreator.com), I decided to remap these favorite locales of mine. So here they are to share them with the gaming community at large! Please, feedback is welcome! (and for those other Izandawo users, I created some of the furniture using the textures and then editing the shape that I wanted in MS Paint, and MS Photoshop). Enjoy!
