The Owlery

Jim bursts into the owlery, panting loudly. The owls ruffle their feathers and look down at him disapprovingly. He hurries to a small counter and grabs a sheet of parchment and a quill from the rack above it. Quickly he scribbles a note:
Dear Mom,
Something terrible has happened, and I wouldn't be surprised if What's-His-Name* is behind it. Professor Dumbledore has been attacked with a Mind Web curse. I don't know who cast it, but a professor here says they have taken his mind. I know I should rely on that professor to take care of things, but he seems a shady type at best. Can you send me by return owl anything I could do here to help the headmaster? And let Ted know what's going on. I bet he could figure out some excuse to show up at Hogwarts.
You were right, Mom. Hogwarts is much more exciting than USC (University of Sorcery and Charms).

A screech owl glides down from its perch and holds its leg out for Jim's note. After he ties it on, the owl glides out through the window.
Jim heads for the Great Hall.

"Dear Prof' Dumbledore, How are you? Sorry to bother u, but Lucky is in the hospital wing..." (minus the fact he's in the owlery as well - since this is role play we can be in more than one place, so one version of Lucky is in the hospital) "... he said someone was trying to harm the class and told me to write to u..." Ilana thinks to herself *not technically, but i think it's dumbledore i'm suppose to write to* "... i'm not quite sure what to do, but i was wondering who would want to hurt students..." apart from u know who "... and could u give me some answers, your student, Ilana Kaitlyn Flamel."

Lucky see's the letter at say "Smokius" smoke shot out of his wand and when Ariac looked Lucky was gone and so was the letter. But he saw that Lucky's Gryffindor password on a peice of parchment was just laying there. It said VenusViper

Orchid, How does this sound as a letter to Dumbledore?
Dear Professor Dumbledore,
Earlier on Orchid Hullowell and I (Freida Malfoy) came to try to find you to talk about her problem. I accidently heard her talk to herself about needing fresh blood and Gloria not being able to watch that she didn't attack because she was in detention. I offered her that if she needed fresh blood I didn't mind but she said it was okay as she would have to bite me four times before I became a vampire and she had promised you she wouldn't bite anyone. I said that I didn't mind and we would ask you. Please reply soon with whether it is okay for Orchid to bite me or not. (Please say yes as I would love to be a vampire. Pleeeeeease.)

orchid walks into the owlery. she looks around freida hasn't arrived yet. so trying to blow time she walks over to the feed bin and scoops up a small handful of owl snaps. she then trys to find her bird periwinkle. then she spots her owl who was in a lower dark corner of the room evidently conversing with a rather large horned owl. as orchid took a few steps toward her owl the horned owl flew at her and flutered in front of her, orchid then noticed the letter attached to the owls leg. Orchid untied the ltter. After she finished reading it she smiled it was a letter from home uncle borris just one the state fair for best pie. orchid licked her lips mmm.. pie that sounded good she was really beging to get hungry it had been a long hard night of nightmares and tossing and turning. the thought of food rushed through her ming=d which mad her think of freida. who had just recently came through the door. " sorry i'm late snape made me stay after...old crone bag of bones.."

Okay. Freida looks around for her owl, who's name will remain unknown so as not to embarass Freida and other members of her family, and finds it cuddled up in a corner. She ties the letter to it's leg and sends the owl out of a window.

Freida knows how fast her owl can be so she dissapears to the owlery to see if she is back to her dismay her owl has either gone hunting or has not yet returned from delivering the letter. Oh well. There's plenty of time.

Starisha walks in the Owlery. She looks for her owl. She was also followed by her cat, Moon Light. She hasn't recieved a letter in days! Suddenly a owl with speckles flew though a window. "Ah, there you are, Ginger!" Starisha said, hugging the owl. Ginger was a ginger colored owl with black spots. Moon Light was a white colored cat with moon looking eyes. Ginger was holding a odd shaped package with a letter. She unfolded the letter and read.

Things are going fine in New York city. You are invited to come to New York City when they shout the movie. They said it would be okay that you can play a part!!! It would be wonderful! I also got you some stuff. Please open the package and reply soon!

Procyon steals up to the owlery. There are two kids up there already arguing. He goes into the private stall and locks the door. He pulls out his wand and a few green sparks shoot out the window in the shape of a bird. Almost immediately, a large Raven flies in.

Gloria rushes into the owlery with a quill in hand. As she pulls out a parchment to begin writing a letter, an owl swoops down. Gloria looks up, surprised, then she recognizes the owl.
"Seena!" she cries. The owl hoots softly and drops a parchment in her lap. Gloria thanks Seena, then opens up the letter.
Dearest Boudicca,
Gloria groaned. Boudicca was her first name, but she preferred to go by her middle name.
Gloria quickly skimmed the rest of the parchment, then turned white. Her hand flew to her mouth, and she slowly sunk to the floor.

Procyon opens the Owlery door and finds Gloria lying amidst the droppings. She is clutching a crinkled piece of parchment in a white fist; an owl is worriedly pulling on her ear. Procyon looks around , then reaches for the parchment. The owl nips at his hand, and a low growl resounds unwittingly from Procyon's throat. He hesitates and then shrugs, pulls out his wand and waves it in front of Gloria's nose. "Aromius Ammonius" he encants. A waft of green vapor exits the wand's end. Unfortunately it doesn't smell much different than the stuff in which Gloria is laying. "Let's see, what was it that house elf used? Oh, yes, mintus felinus" he tries again, this time a green bit of powder comes from his wand. Sure enough, Gloria begins to stir. Her grip loosens on the parchment as she moves and Procyon bends over to try for a better view...

Gloria slowly opens her eyes.
"Oh gosh, I didn't faint again, did I?" She sighs. "That's the second time today. I don't know what's wrong with me!" She looks down at her hand, and suddenly remembers why she fainted. She sticks the letter into Ariac's hand and says, "Read this. Can you believe it? I can't... I mean.... I...." She trails off and watches Ariac read the letter.
