Midnight in the Hogwarts Grounds

It is a moonless night in the grounds. The only light comes from the windows of the vast castle that is Hogwarts, and two pinpricks from the eyes of Meg Flynn. But suddenly Meg has a feeling that she is not so alone. All around her, leaves are ruslting in the chilly but windless night. And as she looks past the Whomping Willow, she sees two other pinpricks of yellow light... (someone continue)

Realizing that he'd been spotted, Scott Snow stepped out of the shadows. "Hi" he said. "What are you doin' out here all alone so late?"

"It just didn't feel right," Meg tries to explain, "Something seemed really wrong. So I decided to come out and, well, investigate. I was planning on getting a little fresh air anyway, but-" She breaks off as again the leaves around her rustle. "But there's no wind..."

They then see a figure float across the lake they think *should we follow?* Of corse yes!! the water is making little waves meg said 'that must be why I couldn't feel wind!" they follow!! He is now on the grounds close 2 the forbidden forest and he says "Viestis Montre" a ground layer opens...he walks in!! Takes a seat!! They notice it is Lucky Dumbledore!! He then takes of a mask!! He says to the shadow 'ourp lans are going well'!!! 'Yes my fellow Auror they are'. But you need more training before you take out A.D!!!!' Meg whispered 'thats why he is so good at spells and charms and dueling!!! but is he good or bad' (continued)

Hearing some hasty footsteps, Meg and Scott turned to see Tamora running from the school. She stopped infront of them, catching her breath.
"Now what are you doing here?"
"When I saw you two leave, I followed to tell you that Filch is coming."
"Where are we going to go, then? Not back to the school."
"The only way is the Forbidden Forest...we can hide there until he passes," Tamora says. Then, she found herself looking at the leaves move. "Uh, maybe the Forbidden Forest isn't a good idea...something else is out here..."

That something else was a scraggily looking kid, hiding up in a tree. He was trying to be quiet and observe what was going on, but he choked on a leaf that came off the tree, and in doing so, alerted the others to his presence. Luckily, he was up in a tree, so no one can see him.
"Hello?" someone whispered. The kid looked around, wondering if he should talk back or not. As if fate decided for him, the branch he was up in, cracked apart and fell down to the Earth, with him screaming all the way. He landed on the hard cold floor with a thunk.
The others screamed.
" Errr..hello.." said the kid as he coughed leaves out of his mouth.

Tamora tilts her head at him. She smiles, with a look of surprise. "Hey, weren't you that boy I saw when I was training? Heh, how'd you get out here?"
"You know this guy?" Meg asked.
Tamora nodded. "Yeah, he always seems to follow me..."

Josie Lindley wanders around the grounds amlessly halh hoping to bump into someone so far this school hadn't been to exciting, everyone was too afraid to help pull a practical joke on the mean teacher called snape, and the house elfs never got mad when you snuck into the kitchen and made a mess, she sighed and slumped down onto a nearby rock. she sat waiting for someone anyone to walk by and talk to her, and then she heard light foot falls and the sound of crunching leaves under there feet. "whos there?" josie asked sharply. (someone reply).

"Welcome to Hogwarts, Josie. This section might be off limits, but it's the only exciting place to go," Tamora turns back to the boy. "Do you know where we could hide in the forest? Filch is coming, and I thought I heard Snape too."
"A practical joke on him seems fitting, as well." She added with a sly smile.

Josie looking behind as she heard a loud crash to the ground she quickly and quietly tiptoed to where she had heard the crash from and she could hear now soft voices speaking she followed then then tapped one who was talking on th back. She arched her eyebrow at the one called Tamora, "Uh!omeone told me this place was off limits, guess not oh well.Your tamora i've seen you around, Hi i'm Josie Lindley, new african american student from aussie. so why are you sheilas (girls in aussie talk) out here?" Josie asked no being able to stand her curiousity.

Meg laughs with the others, until she notices in the little light that a shadow has fallen over the small group of students.
"Filch?" Josie mutters.
But it is a large, inhuman shadow, a shadow that could never belong to Filch. Turning around, they gasp...

"No," Meg retorts, "But that - that creature behind you did..." A huge winged beast, with a sharp beak, feathered wings, huge talons and a scaled hide rises up, screeching, then dives...

Verdi whirls around and ducks. She pulls out her wand and aims it at the creature, but before she can say a word...

the ceature takes a quick sweap and grips verdi with its beak, leaving verdi high in the air only hanging on by the seam of her rode which is slowly begining to unravel.

Verdi quickly casts a spell to keep her clothes on and glares up at her captor. *Stupid animal*

Meg looks from one face to the other in the darkness. "Come on," She says, "Let's follow." The still screeching creature flies straight above the Forbidden Forest. They will have to go straight through the centre if the want to follow...

Tamora takes out her wand. "Might as well. What else are we going to do out here, talk to the unicorns? Besides, I think Verdi is in a bit of a pickle at the moment, being captured by that creature and all..."

Meg rolls her eyes. "You don't say?" The monsterous bird-like creature screeches once more. "Let's go," Meg says, dragging to others with her, right into the Forbidden Forest...

Verdi growls and tries in vain to pry the giant claws from her shoulders.

As they walk through the Forbidden Forest, they keep hearing noises coming from the bushes. Once they dared to peek, and saw nothing, so they continued through the bush. Finally they got to the center. A girl was there, a girl their age, and she was trying to protect herself. A dark green serpent creature the size of half the forest started speaking to the girl: "If you don't do as I say, you will never see your beloved home and family ever, ever, again." The group got closer, but far enough so that they won't be seen. The girl kept saying that she will never obey the serpent or his master.
Suddenly the girl started to glow. She glowed bright red, and then the light died down. It was completely dark in the forest. The girl mumbled something, and suddenly the serpent was gone. Everything went back to normal. The group now came closer, and the girl saw them. "Hi", she said. "I'm sorry for all the trouble I must have caused you. You must be from Hogwarts...."

"And you're not?" Meg asks, "I haven't seen you around anywhere. What - what was it you were doing before, anyway?"

Verdi finds herself in a dark dungeon. Blinking, she realizes she must have fallen asleep.
'Curses!'

Meanwhile, the others are striding through the dark forest, the tips of their wands lit. Suddenly, Meg stops and puts out her light.
"What was that?"

"well, my god. Theres never a quiet moment at hogwarts, is there?"

"Guess not. I think it cam from over there," Tamora says, pointing her wand at a thick patch of shrubs. "What the...why are the trees glowing!"

Verdi stands up and looks around.
'Lumos,' she mutters. The room lights up. It is an old-fashioned dungeon. She shudders as she sees a skeleton in the corner.

She can hear the constant drip, drip of water running off the damp walls. Looking around for her kidnapper, Verdi sees the creature pulling a large spider apart.
meanwhile...
Everyone turns to see that the trees are indeed glowing. From the ends of the roots, half above the earth, right up to the tip of each leaf, each bud, the trees seem to be glowing a vivid green.
"I sure hope this is natural..." Meg says uncertainly.

The strange girl jumped out from behind the bushes. The forest stopped glowing. "I'm sorry if I scared you, I was just practicing. I've lived in this forest all my life, and there is nothing so scary here that people call it "forbidden". It's not as dark and as frightening as you might think."

Meg nods slowly. "No, nothing so scary apart from the gigantic spiders and that scaly birdlike animal..." She stares suddenly at the girl. "Have you seen it? The giant bird with scales, I mean. Do you know where its nest is... or whatever it sleeps in."

Sure I do. That huge bird is the only reason I'm practicing, and it's probably the only reason why they call this forest scary. They say the old bird is a servant of the Dark Lord, and we have to practice our Aurorship day and night, so that we can become Aurors like our parents and finally put an end to everyone's fears.

"Oh yes, so those giant spiders are harmless?" Meg says. "Could you take us to this bird's nest, or whatever it is?"

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
Verdi was annoyed. She hated being in closed places. Losing her temper, she screamed, "HELP!!!"
It echoed, and Verdi covered her ears. Suddenly, the door to the dungeon creaked open. There was a man.
"Do not worry, dear. Help will come. If we have the right person, help will come in the form of a certain Potions Master. And when it does... Well... the Dark Lord does not tolerate traitors."

Meg hears an ear-piercing scream from the other end of the forest.
"Verdi..." She mutters, and turns to the strange girl. "Quick, can you take us there?"

An eagle swoops down, turning into Wolfperson as she hit the ground. "If no one else will I'll take you there. I've been exploring this forest for a while. I've learned where all of the important places are. I'll warn you now that that bird doesn't like visitors. When I first stumbled on his nest he nearly killed me. I told everyone that I got hurt playing quiditch. It scared some of the first years."

Verdi glared at the man. 'Who are you? And where are we? And what was that big bird thing that brought me here?'
He smiled coldly. 'You ask too many questions for your own good, girl.' He left, locking the door behind him. As she listened to his footsteps echoing down the hall, Verdi pulled out her wand and tried to think of what to do next.

The others started heading towards the bird's lair,cautiously.

Meg pulls her hand back as it touches something wet and slimy, before realising that it is only the wet moss on the cliff face. "How do we get up, though?"

It is then that she notices a slimy looking rope hanging down the side of the massive rock. "Going up?" She begins to climb, the others close behind.

Why are we waiting, it's getting aggrivating... Look, would somebody please just continue?!

Wolfperson, who is at the bottom, turns into an eagle and flies up to the top. She watches quietly. The creature swoops down over her head and into a nearby cave.

Reaching the top, Meg hoists herself up and over the ledge. Ahead of her is a rotting wooden door, covered in damp moss. She becomes a fox, and creeps closer.

After everyone got up Wolfperson turns into a wolf(her other animagi form) and follows Meg to the door.

Verdi points her wand determinedly at the door. She mutters something under her breath and sparks shoot towards the door. It flies open.

...and knocks over something with a thud. After a second a head appears floating in front of Verdi and then the rest of the body, revealing a witch holding a invisability cloak and her wand.
"Ow, that hurt!" She exclaimed, then quickly adds, "Shoot, someone might've heard that noise, we need to get outta here quickly before someone comes."
Without wasting another second to explain who she was, the witch grabbed Verdi's arm and both rushed out only to run straight into.....

The group outside opens the door in front of them. The walk in and slowly close the door. It creaks. They move into the shadows hoping that they were not heard.

Verdi stops in her tracks. 'You guys, wait! No, I can't leave. This is a trap!'
She turns around and bolts in the opposite direction.

Resuming her human form, Meg stares at Verdi in surprise. "What do you mean?" Her voice echoes eerily in the room, just as the footsteps behind are. Footsteps? Becoming a fox, Meg bolts into a corner just as a figure walks into the darkened room. Light filters through the bars so that his face can clearly be seen.

"What is going on? I don't know how I got to the forest, all I know is that I was walking, lost, in the castle dungeons......" Roz's voice trailed off at the sight of the infamous face.

The group finnally relizes that they walked right into a trap. They are now locked inside. One of them reconizes the person standing before them.
"Hey it's..."

Verdi, still running the other way, crashes into a dark figure. She looks up and sighs in relief. 'Snape,' she says, and collapses into his arms.

Snape drops her. He doesn't even notice that she is there. His stare is blank. He seems to be in a trance. If he is not than he is being controled. It is hard to tell. He points his wand at the students and mutters something. He does the same to Snapesgirl. They find themselves in shackles. Then another man comes in. Everyone notices him. It's Voldemort.

Verdi's jaw drops in surprise. She mouths wordlessly, apparently in shock.

Roz looks around and notices a red fox's tail in the corner of the dungeon. She remembered seeing a fox run into the darkness before, it had come in with Meg. Where was Meg? Roz looked around and couldn't see her anywhere in the dungeon. Maybe she escaped, as she thought this you-know-who began to speak.

Ilana followed Roz�s eyes and notices the flash of Meg�s red tail, quickly looking up, she nudged Roz so that her gaze didn�t give away that someone was gone.
Meanwhile, Voldemort was glancing from one person to another, his angry blood red eyes bore into each of their heads as he spoke: �There are more of you than I needed, I only needed one to lure Snape here, but no matter, you lot cannot spoil my plans��

"Snape," Voldemort hissed,"Go get Dumbledore. Tell him that he is needed in the forbidden forest. If he asks why, tell him that some students are in trouble. "
The students looked around. They all wondered what was going to happen to them.

Verdi whimpers as Snape leaves the room in a trance.

Voldemort grins evily at the group. He pulls out his wand...

Celaeno comes bursting in as a Harpy. A great huge black and silver bird. She slams into Voldemort just as he started to say a spell.
*CLASH...WHUMPH...* She hits him hard. She gets up. She was covered in blood. They took a glance at Voldemort and saw what Celaeno had done. It must have been that her feathers were sharp because Voldemort lay gushing blood where she had hit him.
Then Snape comes back with Dumbledor...
(Some One Continue...)
"That's why you need to watch your back when I'm around. Don't say I didn't warn you..."

Verdi rushes towards Snape and gives him a big smooch

But Snape, still in a trance, does not seem to notice her. Instead he walks over to Voldemort, who has fixed his gash with a healing charm.
"The Imperius curse." Verdi mutters. Voldemort smiles coldly.
"Indeed. Severus Snape was not faithful to me. For that he must pay. Crucio"
Half the group turn away as Snape begins to twitch in agony. On doing this, they notice a red furry face sticking through a hole in the corner. It looks in every way like a normal fox, apart from its bright green eyes. It is Meg. She gives them a look that clearly means,
Follow me.

Those that noticed Meg start to nudge each other, and while Voldemort was occupied w/ Snape they quietly crept out, on there way Ilana grabbed their wands and her cloak.
However Verdi wasn't about to leave Snape in the hands on Voldemort (so what is she going to do and what will happen - someone continue...)

Meg looks at Verdi, and then at the others. She looks back at Verdi again, becoming human briefly. "It's dangerous, if you stay here, you might die. I'll leave the passage open, alright?" She sighs as she resumes her animagus form and leads the others through a small passageway. After going around in what seems like a circle, the passageway opens up onto a ledge that is almost directly above Snape, Voldemort and Verdi...

"Whats that girl doing?"Roz asked while looking over the edge of the ledge. "Do you think she can get away? Or should we help her? She is right you know," Roz added backing away from the edge. "Snape might not be our favourite teacher but we can't leave him here, not really."

Stupid git that Voldemort...Skrew him lets save Snape's sorry @$$.
Celaeno swoops down and takes Voldemort's wand out of his hand. Snape colapses on the floor. Verdi grabs him and drags him away. Voldemort didn't notice because he was jumping up and down like a bunny trying to reach his wand that was just out of reach. Celaeno skreached with laughter. Calling Voldemort all kinds of names each time he missed the wand.

Voldemort bends down and picks up Snape's dropped wand. Glaring a Celaeno, he yells, "Expelliarmus" And his wand returns to him, as well as her own. "Avada Ked-" He begins to yel, but is stopped by...

Wolfperson attacks him, in wolf form, with all the fury of a wild beast. Meg and the other animagi jump in. Dumbledore puts a stop to the mess by yelling, "Freezeus Sceneus" The whole group freezes(not literally) Some are suspended in mid air. He walks over to the group to sort things out, and prevent any further injury.

Verdi stares darkly at Dumbledore.
He sighs, and with a flick of his hand, un-freezes her. She smiles, and leans over Snape, who's still frozen. Verdi shoots another pleading look at Dumbledore.
'I don't know why I put up with you, Verdinae Serpiente.'
Verdi gives him a broad grin. 'Because you love me?'
He rolls his eyes. 'Anyway, you don't need me to free him. True love's kiss ought to do the job. I have the other students to tend to.' He walks calmly towards the animagi.

Not being an animagi Roz is still standing on the ledge watching Dumbledore unfreeze all the animagi, but she also saw a little rat that look like it had a metal paw rush over to you-know-who.

Clinging on the dungeon ceiling, Vlad inspects the scene carefully...

While the animagi of the group transformed, Ilana had threw her invisibility cloak around herself and was intending to help; however Dumbledore had come to the groups rescue. Since she was still on the ledge, Dumbledore�s freezing spell did not reach her. Now while he started to unfreeze the animagi, Ilana saw what Roz had seen as well, unfortunately Voldemort saw with his beady little red eyes, that Roz knew what the rat was about to do.
Ilana suddenly felt limp, her mind went blank..... push her... push the girl of the ledge... was all she heard and to her horror, Ilana started moving towards Roz. Her eyes widened...... no....

A chill runs down Verdi's spine. 'The Imperius curse,' she mutters. Dropping Snape suddenly, she whirls around and aims her wand at Voldemort. 'Stop it!' she shouts.

Suddenly, the scene is interupted by a Undead Lich floating through the wall.
Skeletons pull themselves up through the floor. Vlad leaps down to the floor and cackles maniacly.

"Hello." says Vlad. He then becomes a towering, ten-foot tall hideous creature assembled out of blood-soaked bones and metal chains, and charges at Roz.

Roz spun around and stared motionless at the creature charging at her, momentarily unable to move. It leapt towards her and instinctively she ducked. It flew over her head and started falling towards the ground. Roz stood up and backed away from the edge.

The creature whips around and flings a chain at Roz. It embeds itself in the ground and the creature pulls itself towards her.

Lucky pops down. "grandfarther(he says to Dumbledore) Are you going to do something or am I going to have to??" Albus speaks "don't you dare do anything.....you will just hurt people I will take care of this!!" Albus pulls out his wand!!! The Lucky pulls out his. "We better take this outside old rag!! Blowapons!! The hole room is blown up they are now all out on the quidditch fleid. Dumbledore laying motionless on a rock the creature still after Roz!!! Lucky in floating in the air!!

Roz began to run away, as she did so she pointed at the broom shed with her wand and called "Accio broomstick". The first broomstick to reach her was a Comet260, not the best, but good enough fo what she needed to do, it was pretty fast. Still trying to get away from Vlad she jumped onto the broomstick and flew it up and away from him.

Unfortunatly, a pair of skeletal wings sprout out and the creature follows...
Suddenly, the sun begins to rise, and the creature disappears.

Still unsure if she was safe Roz slowly spiralled towards the ground. Then, in a flash, she remembered you-know-who(and that little rat), remembered Dumbldore's unconsciousness. She stood on the ground and dropped the broomstick, unsure of what to do next.

"Roz?" a quiet voice behind her said. Roz turned round and saw nothing, then Ilana came out from underneath her cloak, her face weary and tired.
"Some strange night huh?" she joked and after a short pause she added, "What happened to the others?"

"I really don't know, Ilana, but for some reason I don't think it's all over yet." She smiled weakly. "Ilana," she asked, "what about you-know-who. Have we got away from him? Quickly forcing her beating heart down, Ilana stays quiet, this way she can have the element of surprise and try to help her friend. 'Meg, Wolfperson (er.. what's your name in this rp?) where are you two?'

Roz stares in horror at the dementors faces, at least where she thought the faces were, she had no idea how to fight them but she was going to try, then her wand was snatched from her hand! She felt powerless in the dementors grip. Suddenly they seemed distracted. One hissed "Someone is here." but Roz could see no-one. The dementors could definately sense someone though.

The cloak it'll only just cover five of us so once they're under we won't be able to move because the cloak will slip." Ilana watched the figure that had spoken to them moments before. "We can move with just three, we have to, I'm sure she saw you two disappear. move slowly and quietly to the edge of the trees."

Suddenly, they feel a hand whip the cloak off them. They turn to see... nobody. "You think I am a fool?" A voice hisses. "You are not the only ones with an Invisibility cloak." Meg becomes human again, intending to pull the man's cloak off, when everyone is suddenly bound tight with ropes.
"Now," The voice says, "Come with me." They see footprints in the soil, hear the scraping of footsteps as he walks behind them, ushering them deeper into the forest.
It is only when they reach a circle of trees that they realise that one of their number is missing. A tangle of rope lies nearby, and a trail of human footprints changing into paws. "Meg's escaped!"

And the only one who can save you is the Good lucky dumbledore who I am about to kill...He has his grandfarhers blood which over comes mine" Time is running short, he raises Lucky over the fire! "wait....who are you take the potion that turns you into yourself" Roz speaks, "Fine", he takes the potion and he is ............the older more evil Draco Malfoy!!!

When she reached the body she saw the only moving part of Draco was his eyes, and they still looked murderous. Roz stanched his wand from his hand and performed a simple charm so that he couldn't speak. "He won't be able to get out of that by himself will he? Is Lucky still alive?"

"I don't know," Ilana said and rushed to where Lucky laid and checked for his pulse, "He's alive, but unconscious, I think someone gave him a very strong dreamless sleeping potion, we need to wake him up."
Ilana looked around where they were, "We're in a clearing, we can be spotted easily so we better get out of here, can you wake Lucky up? I'm gonna deal with Malfoy."
Walking towards Malfoy, she muttered "Mobilicorpus," and invisible strings became attached to Draco lifting him off the ground. Picking up her invisibility cloak and the one Malfoy had worn, she yelled to Roz, "Hey Roz, present for you," then turning back to Draco, who gave her another venomous look she added: "Should we take him to the Ministry or just leave him here?"

She inspectes the cloak. "Reckon its still good after Malfoy has had it?"

Check him for polyjuice potion, Ilana, he might have some left on him and we can't risk him turning back into Lucky and being set free. Lucky are you going to be okay going back to the Hospital Wing by yourself?" Roz put the crushed leaves into her pocket and handed some to Lucky and Ilana. "Just in case, I don't know why but I have a feeling we are going to need to stay awake for a long time tonight. I'm going back for Wolf, Marci and Meg, are you coming Ilana?"

Ok now that that crisis is over we need to find Meg and Wolf I think their ok for now but we should hurry.

Ilana points her wand towards Draco, "Accio Polyjuice Potion" she mutters and immediately a small test tube of liquid comes flying out of Malfoy's pocket towards her hand, she drops it onto the floor and steps on it to crush the tube. While the liquid seeps into the ground she mutters: "Accio wand." Malfoy�s wand comes flying towards her and as he gives her another evil stare she retorts, "What? The spell will wear off eventually and you don't think I�ll leave you your wand to come after us with do you?"
Turning back to Roz, while pocketing the spare wand, she hears Roz ask: "You coming Ilana?"
"Yep," she replies, then picking up her invisibility cloak and Malfoy�s she adds: "Keep the cloak, Roz, it might come in useful later."

"Marci!" Roz cried at the sight o the girl they thought was lost in the forset. "Are you okay? Do you have any idea where Meg and Wolf might be? No? Well, I reckon we should head straigt into the forest. What do you guys think. We should stay on the paths hopefully Meg and Wolf will too, do you think they managed to find each other?"

I have some ideas where they could be I know what direction they left in I turned back cause I was worried about you guys I think we should head off that way. marci points to a clump of bushes nearby. We should hurry though There are about 10 death eaters in there and soon so will be the teachers and the ministry and I don't think there going to be happy with us.

Meanwhile, Meg is backing further away from the woman. "I'm not going to bite, dear!" Meg aims a kick at her, and she falls back, gasping for air, hit in the stomach. In that split second, she is bowled down to the ground, and Megs wand is pointed at her chest. "Now - now look at it reasonably, dear." She stammers.
"Stop pretending to be on my side." Meg snaps back.
"Alright then," The woman's attitude changes competely. "I have many friends -"

The real Lucky flys though the leaves he pushes the woman over....she is knocked-out Lucky and Roz run but not on paths just into the forest...they stop...theres a swamp.."I nevre new the forbidden forest had a swamp" siad Roz......"me niether, lets go though."
