Captained by Matt McCreadie The U11's extended their start of season unbeaten run to nine games with victory over Stevenage. In a match characterised by bad tempers and the sound of the referee's whistle, Royston ran out 12-0 winners with individual tries by Sam Norcross and Chris Ellis, the latter converted by Harry O'Sullivan. A third Royston "try" by Leigh Wilson was disallowed because of the theatricality of the dive over the line - Ben Cohen has a lot to answer for! More generally Royston didn't use the width of the pitch - on too many occasions ball runners failed to pass to better placed team mates; improvements necessary for some tough pre-Christmas games.
