The 2002 Deer Season was a strange one to say the least.  With almost no acorn crop and a severe drought throughout the summer, finding deer proved to be a problem.  Ed did manage to get a 5 point buck during archery season, but that was the extent of our archery action.  Opening day of the rifle deer season proved to be a little more exciting.  We saw many deer, and I managed to take two doe before noon.  With both of us being under the weather......our hunting season was cut short and we both missed most of the reaminder of the gun season.  Sorry no picture to post at the moment.
During the 2000 season, sadly to say, the deer got the better of us.  With 6 tags between the two of us, we saw a good number of deer, but only managed to get this one doe (pictured left)on the last day of the regular archery season.
On October 12, 1998, I took my biggest archery deer ever (right).  He was a nice 8 pt wit a 17 1/2 inch inside spread.

During the warm summer months, Ed and I like to take an occasional trip to the  "Stoneboro" area to do a little groundhod hunting.  Hunting these "ground grizzlies" is a great way to hone your shooting skills with an afternoon of hunting often resulting in a dozen or so opportunities.
