Officer Filing Report - Centurion Nog Trebbin, Sensors/Science Officer (acting Medical 1), CSS Prometheus

CAPSULE:
On Stardate 30.11.216, the CSS Prometheus (Contracted cruiser-class vessel, Captain Lord Calvin Hobbes commanding) was activated for duty after a four week stand down time. Despite a skeleton crew, Capt. Hobbes and crew participated in 3 sorties and scored an astounding 97% success rating. The following changes were made to the crew and vessel compliment under Capt. Hobbes command:
Medical 1 Centurion Julius Faubus was replaced with Ensign Klarence Kotter (KIA)
Med 2 was filled by Centurion Nog Trebbin
Security Chief Centurion Yellow Stonefly was replaced with Sub-Centurion Nelly Tornbrow
Comm/EW/First Officer Lieutenant Shasta Pessi was replaced with Lt JG Rogan Duffelchair
Centurion Maxmillian Montgomery was temporarily reassigned to aid security team
CSS Genesis (Cooperative Owned Assault Scout) was deactivated for entire mission with all hands not otherwise mentioned.
Sortie #1 - CSS Prometheus was charged with locating and destroying the CSS Andromeda, a rebel blockade runner and commerce raider. Capt. Hobbes and crew used contacts and sources in the Bizarre to locate and attack the ship which was moored for repairs in the extreme coreward edge of the Hokuten Enclave. After hunting and a sharp battle, the Andromeda was damaged and captured. The hulk was captured by Cooperative forces and thus the spoils will be split with the Cooperative after ship's deed is transferred. The Confederation commander, Lady Tantalus, was killed in the boarding operation. Captain Hobbes gave commendations to the entire crew and spoke highly of their performance. All members were awarded the Andromeda Campaign Ribbon. The Prometheus suffered moderate damage and was forced to put into port at Prenglar for repairs. It was also noted that Confederation operatives were see purchasing large amounts of power supplies to use for what they termed "Fusion weapons of a planetary scale".
Sortie #2 - CSS Prometheus was assigned a patrol mission to clear the coreward space lanes of Confederate presence and keep safe for trade vessels. At behest of Fleet Captain Remington (Battle Group 7) Capt. Hobbes authorized an alteration in course to intercept and assist the Co-op forces against a raiding and supply group blocking the space lane. The battle was joined as reinforcements from both sides arrived. Shortly into the battle, the Co-op flagship, CSS Halberd (Cooperative owned cruiser-class vessel), was struck with an assault rocket in a critical deck near the bridge. After a catastrophic fire and complete defense system failure, the flag was transferred to the Prometheus as the ranking officer, Commander Yuri Ronkin (CSS Trebuchet), was outranked by Capt. Hobbes. The Halberd was destroyed with all hands shortly after and Hobbes rallied the fleet and drove off the Confederate forces and destroyed 5 vessels, allowing only 2 to escape. Capt. Hobbes was awarded the Cooperative Star of Firaxsis for his command performance. Midshipman Soltte of the CSS Battleaxe (Cooperative Contracted gunboat) was also awarded the Star for his role in assuming command of his ship after the commander became a causality. Again, the CSS Prometheus suffered moderate damage and was put into Prenglar for repairs.
Sortie #3 - CSS Prometheus was given orders to investigate the Hokuten Enclave and ascertain the presence and influence of the Confederation there. During the space flight, the location of a penal asteroid was discovered and Capt. Hobbes again authorized a flight change to raid the prison and free the captives. It was believed that nearly 50 prisoners were there. One of the prisoners, Lt. JG Ray Parenchema, served on Hobbe's ship. The raid was planned with the assistance of the Black Wing, a mercenary group contacted at Fromeltar. The raid went as planned, except for a sneak attack by the CSS Opulent, which rendered moderate damage to the Prometheus, before it was driven off. As a result of one of the attacks the medical bay was hit and Ensign Klarence Kotter was killed. After the rescue of 52 prisoners (one of which was Lt JG Parenchema), the Prometheus tried to make good her escape but Sensor Operator/ Med 1+2 Nog Trebbin and Comm/EW/ First Officer Lt JG Rogan Duffelchair noticed the presence of the CSS Opulent. After another cat and mouse battle, the Opulent was captured and Commander York of the Opulent was killed. The title was cleared at Outer Reach, Dramune and the Opulent was transferred in ownership to the name of Hobbes and party.
CSS Prometheus was put in Prenglar Space dock with heavy damage and ordered to stand down until further notice.
