Galactic Cooperative - Mission Orders

Form 110-1

Officer Building Mission -  Staff Admiral Tonio Turbane

MISSION PARAMETERS:

Stardates inclusive -    25.01.217 to 27.01.217 (estimated)

Phases - 3-4 (estimated sorties)

CAPSULE:

These mission orders are intended for all crewmembers and officers of the following vessels.  Please note that officers will be responsible for the knowledge and clarification of such orders.

CSS Prometheus - (Co-Operative Contracted Cruiser class vessel) Captain Lord Calvin Hobbes commanding.  First Officer Lieutenant Shasta Pessi.

CSS Genesis - (Co-Operative Owned Assault Scout class vessel) Commander Volo Vrax commanding.  First Officer Lieutenant JG Rogan Duffelchair.

Vessel Commanders should note any crew changes prior to departure on first sortie.

MISSION ORDERS:

The CSS Prometheus will attach and transport the CSS Genesis to the staging area of the Hokuten Enclave.  This area has been scanned and uploaded to the main storage aboard both vessels.  This area will also serve as a test area for the M-1 Bio-Sensors on the CSS Prometheus.

Intelligence reports indicate that the Confederation Naval Forces have supply depots and sympathizers in the Hokuten Enclave.  Some of these are in high governmental positions.  The Enclaves known structure and astronomics will be discussed later.  Reports also indicate that the Prometheus and other large Co-Op vessels will be recognized and targeted as enemy vessels in some quadrants of the Enclave.  Thus, the first capsule of the mission will depend on the Genesis.  Agents have leaked information that the Assault Scout has been destroyed in testing and does not exist.  Thus, it should be a surprise to all in the area that it does exist and is in service.

Your mission is to ascertain the level of support for the Confederation and to gain knowledge about the Hokutens.  Also, you must gain detailed scans and surface readings of the planet 122.87 (Doorway) which will be used in further operations due to its proximity with the Flux Corridor and Xagyg Dust Nebula.  Also, commanders must use their judgement in thwarting and hampering all Confederate efforts in the area.  Any setback that can be inflicted on the rebels will greatly aid our situation here.

It is important to note that limited communications with home base are essential as this is a covert operation and could lead to unpleasant confrontations with the Hokutens if our vessels are found trespassing in their space.

TERTIARY OBJECTIVES:

The CSS Vicar Fudo (Co-Operative contracted destroyer class vessel) was launched on a identical mission one month ago.  It has failed to report and has been presumed lost.  Recovery of the vessel and any crew is a high priority.  Commanding officer was Captain Douglass Rankin.

Full testing of M-1 Bio-Sensors and CSS Genesis are also important objectives.  It should not have to be stated that loss of either vessel would harm the Co-Operative severely.  Extra rockets and supplies for the CSS Genesis will be alotted to the CSS Prometheus.

Intelligence officers believe that the NobleNet Satellite is stored in the Enclave.  It is a record database that hold Confederate as well as pre-war Co-Operative intelligence information.  Locating and capturing or less desirable destruction of the satellite would cripple commnet activities in the Confederation and swing the balance in our favor in the naval theatre.

ASTROLOGICAL REPORT AND KNOWN ENCLAVE INFORMATION:

The Hokuten Enclave lies around the largest collection of natural wormholes and fluxes known to our science.  Four star systems surround this area and make up the Enclave.  The systems have been denoted as North, South, East, and West, for simplicities sake.  It is believed that there are several black holes in the area as well as a spatial rift.  Several uncharted asteroid fields surround the riftal segment and the shapely centre of the Enclave.

Gravitational effects are surmised to vary greatly from system to system.  All four systems are believed to hold stable class-M planets and lifeforms that are native to them.  Quark and neutrino scans have shown large amounts of consumed energy  as used by atomic and ion stardrives.  There are also large quantities of Hoklite 7, which indicate the use of fusion energy in a controlled manner, a fact which neither Co-Op or Confederate Science can duplicate.

The Enclave was presumed to be one empire in the distant past.  They are broken into 3-4 warring factions as a result of some 15 intergalactic conflicts between the powers that are there.  It is believed that the Tetrarch Society once held its seat of power in this area.  The current government is a group of Dukes.  Each of the dukes hold sway over their system.  At least 2 of the Dukes are actual descendants of ousted royal families on Thesus after the Minotaur Wars.   The dukes of system South and East are at least lukewarm with the Confederation and nothing is known about the North and West systems.

Good Luck Commanders.  Any questions and clarifications can be tuned to transponder [email protected]
