Drifting Friends

Friends are like snowflakes.
Each is a miracle fromGod.
Every snowflake is unique to itself,
And so also is a friend.

Within each friend lies a blessing,
Unlike any other.
There it waits until it is nurtured,
And begins to grow.

One friend may give the ability to bear pain.
Another may lend a much needed ear.
Yet another may let the truth be known.
Each blessing is different,
Yet never worth more or less than another.
For without one an entire life could be altered.

As is true with snowflakes,
These friends must often leave.
But, they never cease to be.
For once a blessing is given, it is never taken away.
