Research experience
·Direct experience in performing
experiments, supervising experimental set-up and preparing papers (have
sole author papers in top optics magazines) within Japanese government
projects (in frames of NEDO), German government projects (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft
(DFG) and the Fonds der Chemischen Industrie (FCI)) and in projects in
the Ukraine (mostly in frames of the Fund for Fundamental Research of the
State Committee for Science and Technology of the Ukraine and of the National
Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine).
Laser and Optoelectronic Devices
·Constructed, developed and assembled
different lasers and amplifiers- Ti:Saphire Kerr-lens mode-locked lasers,
passive mode-locked lasers, synchronously pumped dye lasers, optical parametrical
amplifiers and a few types of gas lasers. Worked with semiconductor lasers
and amplifiers.
·Designed and assembled optical schemes
and practically performed degenerate four-wave mixing,
two-photon fluorescence and correlation fluorescence experiments.
Computer Skills
·Created software using Visual C++
(also GUI applications), Turbo Pascal and Turbo Assembler.
·Programmed computer-to-instrument
interfaces in I2C serial port, RS232, IEEE 488(GPIB) and KAMAK standards.
·Performed data and word processing
with different scientific, data and word processing software (MathCad,
Origin, Microsoft Word, LabWindows).
Theoretical and Mathematical Skills
· Made software and performed calculations
using minimax approaches (Monthe-Carlo, inverse gradient and random walking
methods).
·Created software and implemented
calculations using different matrices methods (ABCD matrices for laser
cavities and classical optical systems, scattering matrices for interference
in multilayer thin film systems).

·Aligned big numbers
and variety of lasers (incl. femtosecond system produced by Coherent
Inc.- ‘Innova 200', ‘MIRA 900', ‘REGA 900', ‘OPA 9400'(‘OPA 9800')).
·Repaired different electronic and
optoelectronic devices (microscopes, monochromators, streak cameras, oscilloscopes,
power supplies (also with voltage up to 30kV).
·Assembled and worked with different
vacuum and high pressure gas systems (also with Cl2).
