| Notes for AMERICA BEAN: | ||||||||
| According to family lore passed down from the family of William Francis Newton, he was the last child born to America and William. William was born 2 June 1871 and 8 days later the mother died. Baby William Francis Newton was placed with the Louis Pate family who raised him. This may be true, but in 1880 William and His two boys were living with Americas parents and brother in Dallas County, MO. This must have changed shortly after the second wife came into the picture and married in 1880, for Charley and Louis Pate got the young boys jobs in the mines around Webb City, Jasper, MO.after their dad died. I would love to find descendants of the brother John Bean seen with his parents in 1870 and 1880 Dallas Co. MO. Census! Wonder where they went! | ||||||||

| Attempts to indentify a burial spot for America have come to naught to date. A death record has also eluded us though we continue to seek. Baby William grew up and is buried in Carrsville, Mo Cemetery. We still seek him and the Pates in the family that raised him -- in a record or census somewhere in MO. Back: Index.html | ||||||||
