| William Edgar was general car foreman for the Northeast Oklahoma Railroad when he died. Before that he helped build the Railroad when it was new. Following that he was a Railroad Detective responsible for ousting free riders from the boxcars. During his military service WWI era, he was a boxer and won many bouts. He was known to pick up two railroad car wheels and axle with ease. He was tall and strong. He was a friend of the local undertaker and a Deputy Sheriff. When a car wreck with fatalities happened, Virgil Cooper the undertaker would call on Edgar to help him and he did not fail to help. He died when his son and I were dating. | |||||||||
