"4 girls.  Alice, Jattie (Jasper), Gentry were born in Louisburg, MO, three youngest were born in Henry co. Mo 12 miles from Blairstown. Moved to Clinton in  1898 when Nellie was 9. Didn't stay moved to Clinton Mo where Nellie had her 10th birthday. Moved to Miami, OK Indian territory shortly after. Amanda's brother Charley Pate came down from KS (Litchfield near Pittsburg) our dad was sick and we kids had the malaria fever. Floyd and Burney went to work in mines with Uncle Charley, then dad died, can't remember when we moved to Pittsburg and we were placed around where we could sort of make our own way."
