In the name of God Amen

I John Newton of Robertson County and State of Tennessee Being in perfect mind and memory but knowing it is appointed of a man once to die do make and establish this my last will and testament.  I will my soul to God and my body to the earth, As to the worldly goods it has pleased God to (unclear 3 words) in life, My will and desire is that it be disposed of in the following manner to wit 1st I will that all my just debts be paid after a (unclear) time after my death.

I will and bequeath to Patty?polly? W./or H. Newton and (blot) Bedstead and furniture and Bureau, and Polly our Saddles,  and _______ ________ and Loving? _______ Cotton Mills/Wheels? And _________    __________ Flax Wheel and Negro Girl named Wilmit? And his increase.

I give and bequeath to William W. Newton my Trunct? Of Said Rooms? By West ______Containing about eighty

_________    _____________best of furniture and Cow and Calf and fourth part of my stock of Wood? Our Gray Work ___________ at the Common Grange? , also one other Work Saddle _______him. 

( Note: This is very dim, following are a few words I can read.)

....Negro boy named Marvin? Nancy w. Stark which had him for___________.  I give --------beadstead and furniture and ________   dining table ____________ girl named Winneyto __________ unclear   man named Mingo.

(The will has orderly bequests, the ink is just dimmed out though I photocopied it on dark and darker and see half strokes, it is invisible to me to read.)
