| Bible of Richard Chitwood b. 1814 lived Mt. Vernon Missouri with his 2nd wife Parthenia Epperson dtr of Richard Epperson and Rebecca Haden (Richard was married first to Rebecca Epperson in Ralls Co. MO - her information is here too.) Their son was Van Young Chitwood b. 1849 who married Susannah Davis dtr of Thomas Davis Their son was George Washington Chitwood b. 1877 in Tiff City, MO George Chitwood gave the Bible to his daughter Rose Chitwood Melson Jackson This Bible, printed by the C. Ewer & Bedlington Co. 8n 1825 George was my grandfather, (Oldest living wheelright in USA at time of his death.) Rose was my aunt after whom I was named. Below are scanned .jpg images of the Bible pages. I photographed the cover many years ago, the photocopies were made by my cousin Aleta Jean Chitwood Wilkee who posted them in Missouri genealogical quarterlies and shared these copies with me.
