"The Natural Facts Show"
This outlines the concepts and themes presented in the first episode. We begin with our place in the universe. Identifying the solar system. We focus now on our closest neighbor: the moon. We observe how this orbiting sattelite affects life cycles, helps us measure time, plant crops and predict the tides. It is important to remember that these characters are animations of real people. A teacher reads to her class about the moon landing of 1969. They take a trip to a Natural History Museum to learn more about the moon. They form a club called The Natural Facts. This is the genesis of the series the foundation for future episodes. The animations are enhanced by music about the subject matter. These methods build on childrens natural curiosity about the world around them. This motivates and inspires building on innate curiosity and enthusiasm. The magical effect the moon has on human consciousness is put to use.
