The soft shore of love flees
As one last look confirms
The thoughts of an age.
The jagged stones of life
Hurl themselves through the air
Aiming to pierce, aiming to injure.
The blood flows as one
Gazes upon the face of the other.
One yearns for death
While the other frantically attempts
To prevent it.
As life leaves the body of one
As eyes glaze
Tears flow from the other.
As two lives are lost with one.

Ah, yes, it is me, the dreaded author of this poem. The person on whom I placed some of the meaning did not get it, so I was inspired to write the meaning here. I figured that if said person did not get it, then no one else would. So here goes:

This poem came to me November 7, 2003 in third period. Don't ask me why, I know, but I'll never tell. It is about two people (one and the other) they love each other very much, but on this particular day, have cause to doubt each other. One looks into the other's eyes and confirms this thought. The jagged stones of life are everything bad that life throws at you. Life is a cruel and evil being and it does not aim to please. The two people are there and "one" is angry and hurt and wants to die, so this one attempts to kill himself while "the other" watches and tries to stop him. As he dies and his eyes glaze over with death, she feels there is nothing left for her.
