MAXIMUM SPEED: 261 mph (420 kmh).
SERVICE CEILING: 27,500 feet (8,390 meters).
RANGE: 1,212 miles (1,950 km).
WINGSPAN: 74 feet 1 inch (22.60 meters)
LENGTH: 53 feet 9 inches (16.40 meters)
HEIGHT: 13 feet 1 inch (4 meters)
MAXIMUM LOAD: A maximum bomb load of 5,503 lb (2,500 kg), carried internally and externally.
ARMAMENT: Six or seven 7.9mm machine guns.
PRODUCTION: 5,678 He-111 medium bombers were produced and this one was built in Spain. Designed as a transport aircraft,(1) the He-111 medium bomber first flew on February 24, 1935. It entered German air force service in 1936 and it was the most numerous German medium bomber at the beginning of World War II. It took part in the German Luftwaffe bombing of London and England, during the Battle of Britain, in 1940.
