Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA)
The MMA is a newly formed alliance of Pakistani Islamist parties with varying opinions. It was formed for the purpose of contesting the October 2002 elections set by the Musharaf regime. This coalition of Islamists proved to be formidable when they gain many seats especially in the western provinces of NWFP and Baluchistan. In fact MMA emerged as the third largest political front in final election results.
