Haflinger Ranch is located in the foothills of the beautiful Cascade Mountain
range of Central Oregon.
At Royal
Haflinger Ranch we are dedicated to breeding and raising high quality Haflingers
with outstanding temperaments and good minds. Haflingers are extremely
versatile, equally suited for the show ring, dressage, driving and wilderness
mountain trails.
Haflingers
originate from the Tyrolean Alps where they have been bred for centuries as
steady, durable sure-footed mountain horses. Haflingers are wonderful family
horses that are very people oriented. They are very long lived and can be a
long-time companion. They are long strided, smooth gaited and jump like deer.
Their uncomplicated personalities and great strength explains why they are still
referred to as " the tractor of the Alps". Haflinger's sure-footedness
and steady nerves have also make them very popular with the military in Austria
where they serve the mountain troops to this day.
