Potenza Picena Judo Club ITALY Solihull judo players went on a five day visit to Italy in April 2006. They visited Potenza Picena Judo club in the Marche Region. The club is situated in a beautiful medieval town on the mountains overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It was the Italian club's 30th anniversary. Our British coach and World champion Neil Adams, Solihull judo club and the Harris Judo club of London were all invited to a coaching weekend and celebration. Ron Knight led a coaching team of Roy Muller and David Farmer, and promising young judo players Matthew Farmer, Adam Knight, Gary Knight, Simon Outhwaite and Tony. The trip was a great success with many friendships being made and judo skills exchanged. We hope to continue links with the Italian club and to take more Solihull players there to train in the future.
