I was first introduced to judo by Pete, whilst watching him coach my two young lads - Ben and Jack - at mini judo classes. I felt four years ago I might be at the wrong end of the age group that take up such a physical sport. Thankfully Pete totally disagreed.

He managed to nurse me during the initial learning period, without too many injuries (not an easy task given the nature of the sport). Peter has guided me through the intricacies of judo, and helped to explain why my attempts haven't worked and advised what to do to make them work.

Pete always makes the training sessions interesting, comprehensive, physically and mentally demanding, but above all, very enjoyable with is own very personable brand of encouragement.

Various times when training, things don't go well, and judo becomes very, very frustrating. Speaking personally, Pete always seemed to provide a training session which specifically dealt with the problems I was having.

I feel certain that without Pete's coaching, my progress would have been much slower and my enthusiasm not as great.
