Peter, I will never forget my first lesson with you. You were going on about shapes and space and volunteered two men to help you demonstrate. You explained there was a circle shape between their bodies. I looked from every angle but still could not see this circle you were describing. I hate to admit it but I am still none the wiser.
You always had a funny story to tell, and always managed to keep the men in order (although sometimes I don't know how). You made the class fun but at the same time got the work done.
I would sit and listen to your ideas, and on many occasions often thought that some of them would never work, but they always did.
You have a great talent and a memory full of ideas and wisdom. You knew exactly what you were talking about, and how to teach them to others - breaking movements down into small parts, and at the end putting them back together, to form one continual movement. You always tell people what you think about their moves, including me on some occasions, and I respect you for that.
You have helped me quite a lot over the time I have known you and some of your ideas have helped me to become a better judo player. I have one last thing to say and that is THANKYOU.
lots of love
Emma
