The Commonwealth Games Londonderry 17 June 2006 Solihull took great pride in the results brought home by Joyce Malley - Stan Cantrill and Clive Biggs. Joyce won gold for Northern Ireland; Stan won silver for Wales and Clive a bronze for England. We are indebted to Clive for reporting the results. He says that the tournament was well supported with many Commonwealth Countries represented and a good time was had by all. It has been duly noted that Stan Cantrill had his coach (Neil Adams) close at hand shouting at him from the edge of the mat! Our friends from Erdington deserve a big mention. They brought home eleven medals! Lesley Farnell won two gold medals.
