Neil Adams 7th Dan MBE

Coventry

I have known Peter Barnett for nearly thirty years and to say he had a profound effect on my career is an understatement.

He is quite simply one of the nicest men that I know as well as being one of the most knowledgable and I am privileged to have had his guidance and support throughout the years.

Pete has touched the lives of so many people and has passed on his expertise to both player and coach throughout the years.

When I was fourteen years old I would jump on the train at Leamington Spa for my Tuesday evening practice at Solihull.

Pete would take the mat and all of us at Solihull would lay a foundation that would stay with us forever.

I then left for London and lost contact with Pete and Barbara for a little while.

How wonderful it was to see them again when I returned to Coventry to live.

I am honoured to have been taken in by Peter and Barbara and be treated like a member of their family.

They are both like my second Mum and Dad, my dearest friends.

Pete, I will never forget what you have done for me, thanks!

Love from

Neil
