SnowKiteBoarding - Utah
Since I acquired the skills of KiteBoarding this year, I decided to further investigate other methods of getting air. In the progression of extreme sports, SnowKiteBoarding was next on the list. Did some research, bought an Ozone Frenzy Kite, and took off to Skyline Drive Utah.

After talking to some guys on kiteforum.com, Adam informed me of the Ozone Freeride Tour to be held at Skyline Drive. It's about 2 hours south of Salt Lake City in a little town called Fairview. I finally got there and this is the view from the car.
The first day, met up with some friends at the Skyline motel, and we were off to the mountains. Lots of fresh pow-pow, which made setting up the kite quite a challange

I love the foil kites, so much easier than the inflateable kites I use on water. Well, here I am, the first time on snow.........yeah!!!!!!
Seems like every Kite Boarding trip I take, I get stuck. Even in 4x4 mode, this SUV would just slip further down the embankment. Thanks for the dewd in his Jeep Wrangler that pulled me out
Just look at that, it was sooo pretty out there. I should have boarded here the second day, but no, I had other plans
Instead, I decided to chiil with the masses in total white-out conditions. Later that day, I would take off into no-where land when the wind dropped. Thanks Jake for finding me and taking me back to basecamp on the snow mobile.
We took over a local bar for some fesstivities, and I had too many Redbull Vodkas. This was the only bar in town, we are in Mormon country people. Even though they don't drink in public, this state has one of the highest alchohol sale figures in the US
Just to give you guys an idea of the terrain, miles and miles of kiteable area, got to go back there soon.
As you leave the Salt Lake City airport, follow highway I-80 E. Merge onto I-15 S towards Vegas/Cheyenne. Merge on US-6 E via exit 258 towards US-89 E / Price / Manti. Turn right onto US-89 and follow the road to Fairview. Note: Be carefull of black ice, and you must have a 4x4 for this trip
