| Beginning their evil excursions in 1649, Hans and Greta resurface every 50 years to wreak havoc on small towns by brainwashing the townspeople into killing the innocent in a witchhunt. By staging their own ritualistic deaths in Sunnydale, Hans and Greta coaxed the parents of Sunnydale into burning Buffy, Willow and Amy at the stake, but quick thinking on Buffy's part revealed Hans and Greta's true demonic form.
