| This is the exact words of Gabe's teacher Ms. Fine when I asked her about Gabe. Thank you again Ms Fine. I guess I can tell you that he was one of the most creative students I've had in the business. He is extremely intelligent and was reading Stehen King (not one of my favorites) when he was in 4th or 5th grade. He's the only student I ever had that played cribbage and so hit it off really well with Alison Court's father on "Stranger in my Bed." It seems cribbage is very popular in the Northeast where I was raised and in Toronto where the Courts lived. Alison was my other student on "Stranger in My Bed." She was 12 years old at the time.My two students collaborated on a rap song about the movie. It was a great hit when they performed it at our "unwrap" party aboard a ship which gave us a tour of the harbor. Also, we all enjoyed a field trip to Expo '86. I worked with Gabe again right after that on a sitcom with Danny Thomas. It was called "One Big Family." That was in the summer and fall of '86, but I haven't worked with him or seen him since then. |
