The foods chosen for this menu was based on the food guide pyramid. I tried to provide at least the amount of servings for each food group. Th servings are categorized by the six groups: Fats, Dairy, Meat, Vegetables, Fruits and Carbohydrates.

Breakfast
cold cereal and milk
toasted bread
orange juice

Serving: 2 carbohydrates, 1 dairy, 1 fruit

Snack
peanut butter and jelly crackers
carrots with ranch dressing
water

Serving: 1 carbohydrates, 1 meat, 1 vegetables

Lunch
toasted chicken sandwich*
*(includes 2 pieces of bread, lettuce, tomato and chicken)
apple juice

Servings: 2 carbohydrates, 1 meat, 2 fruits, 1 vegetables

Snack
freshly cut apples
cucumbers with ranch dressing
water

Servings: 1 fruit, 1 vegtables

Dinner
beef macroroni and cheese
fruit yogurt
orange juice/water

Servings: 1 meat, 1 carbohydrates, 2 dairy, 1 fruit

Total Servings
