Duke3D Secrets
Secret areas are counted in the end of level stats, and are listed with numbers. Bonus areas are hidden places that contain goodies, but are not counted in the end of level stats. These are listed with bullets.
Episode 2 : Lunar Apocalypse
Level 1 : Spaceport
6 Secrets:
- Check the column of broken screens in the control area near the start.
- Near the start there is a dead end with a monitor. Walk down there, and you'll hear a door open behind you. Quickly turn around and hop into the opened up compartment.
- Make your way through the ventallation shafts near the blue key, and you'll get to this one.
- After turning off the forcefield around the central shaft, fly up it to find a dark area with an Enforcer, a devastator, and a healing atom.
- In the outdoor area, after getting a jetpack, there is a high up alcove with a healing atom on it. Fly up and get the atom, then land in the alcove. When you walk near the edge, you'll hear a door opening sound. Quickly jump down the cantral shaft, surface when you land in the water, and run over to the corner between the elevator and the door to the blue key room. If you mede it there in time, a section of wall will be opened up revealing a little room.
- Just before the red door, there is a patch of light (which an Enforcer drops down in). It is actually an elevator. Ride it down to find a shrinker and another baddie.
Bonus Areas:
- Open the Earth screen near the blue keycard switch.
- Open the white wall in the room with the blue key. Hop in the water to find a chaingun, and a small tunnel with some night vision goggles.
- Fly right up to the very top of the central shaft, and you'll come out in a little observation area with a few goodies.
Level 2 : Incubator
5 Secrets:
- Next to the control panel in the room with the two windows you open with a switch, there is a niche you can open up. Hop in there, and then open the back wall.
- This is in the same area as number 1. If you take a look at the area in BUILD, you can see that there are two adjacent sectors with the secret area tag. The level designer must have forgotten that BUILD gives both sectors the tag of the original when a sector is split.
- Jump into the EDF sign for a medkit.
- In the room with the rising console, there is a wall in the corner near the console that can be opened.
- You can open the metal wall with lights on it in the blue room.
Bonus Areas:
- There is a niche just near the corridor to the lit area in the room with the windows you open up with a switch.
- In the area with the green tendril surfaces and the pool of water, there is a high up area with a turret. Shoot the turret, then fly up and open the wall behind it for some pipebombs.
