| About the Play | |||||||||||||
| "Arsenic and Old Lace", a play written by Joseph Kesselring, is a comedy about two kindly old spensters who murder lonely old men as one of their charities. We also get the chance to meet their three nephews, a murderous psycopath, an insane man who thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt, and a perfectly normal dramatic critic. Add in a newly engaged minister's daughter, a fake doctor with a fake german accent, and a police department full of bumbling idiots, and you have one of the funniest plays of the last century. | |||||||||||||
