
Ang Panubli-on, the Roxas City Museum

In 1910 Pres. Pastor Alcazar constructed of water tank near the municipio to provide water to the Capizeño during dry months. Its usefulness was spared and spared during the World War II. Later the city government with a group of culture buffs brain converted the spared water tank into a museum, and they named it as "Ang Panubli-on."

One of the oldest churches in Panay Island, this church is a silent witness to events that has unfolded in the city over the past centuries. It is an imposing structure at the city plaza fronting the Panay River and the old Capiz Bridge.
It
was built on 1870 for 3 years by the vision and guidance of a Spanish priest
Rev. Apolonio Alvares. In 1959 it was reconstructed under the guidance of Msgr.
Antonio Frondoza, an x-archbishop of Capiz.
