Batch'66 40^TH Homecoming Activities

A welcome dinner hosted by Dell and Cora for balikbayans at Kamay-Kainan (buffet style) at Market Market Fort Bonicacio, Taguig. We had a very good meal and of course laughter (mostly courtesy of Tani). Present from abroad were: Gard and Letty Florendo, Josie Jose and her husband Manfred, Merly Nepomuceno, Jean and Ernie Posis, Efren Lajom, Destoy Ocampo, Boy Espeleta and wife Elvie, Erlinda Labio-Gaspar and her husband Jojo (a comedian also but I warned him of the jokes of Tani), Robert Guzman, Jimmy Reyes, Vivian Torralba, Mon Mina with his wife, From local side: Dell and Cora, Jing, Tani.

Yesterday, we went to Conway at Shangrila Makati, as expected laughter, kuwentuhan, but this time more drinks and dancing.  In fact the place we occupied became dancing floor because everybody is dancing.  The Dance King and Queen of the Night - Efren Lajom and Elvie Constantino. 

Jan. 27- Villa Escudero outing: We had 3 pick-up points, Roxas High School, Magallanes and Sucat.  Nakakatuwa, Hermy Laurente and Cecil Sta. Ines-Ebol missed the Magallanes stop-over but because of cellphone, they were instructed to take a taxi and so we waited for them at Caltex station near Sta. Rosa Laguna Exit.  We have additional stop at Turbina, Calamba for jean Posis.  Stop-over for corn both white and Japanese yellow breed.  Vivian wanted Balut, so another stop.  We eat a lot inside the bus, lots of chocolate and other junk food.  Cora provided nilagang mane. 

But the fun was when Tani started to make jokes, lots of laughter, Elvie Constantino and Oyie de Guia-Ceo really laugh to their hearts desire.  Letty Mesina-Florendo kept on making pigil her laughter.  We arrived at Villa Escudero about 5pm jan. 27. 

Those who rode at the bus were:  Norma Renovilla-Ratonel, Cecil Sta. Ines-Ebol, Hermy Laurente, Ross Pestano, Dell Ocbina, Cora Reyes-Ocbina, Jing Ladislao, Cleofe Ladislao,  Destoy Ocamp, Vivian Torralba, Flor Gonzales, Flor Gonzales' apo – Kenneth, Robert Guzman,  Robert Guzman's daughter, Tisha Dominguez-Abundo, Merly Nepomuceno-Gorospe, Elvie Constantino-Tabije, Elvie's husband – Amy, Jimmy Reyes, Jimmy's brother – Pete, Fred Ostani, Gard Florendo, Letty Mesina-Florendo, Mar Ceo, Oyie de Guia-Ceo, Efren Lajom, Jean Posis,  Ernie Posis, Erlinda Labio-Gaspar, Linda's husband – Jojo, Violeta Fontanilla-Ignacio, Rolly & his wife – Mel. Boy Espeleta and wife Elvie & Roger Centeno arrived later.  

At Villa Escudero, we had a welcome drink, sago gulaman, Rode a carabao cart where about 20 persons rode going to our cottages. After dinner, we went to Videoke.  Destoy monopolized the singing.  Vivian scored 99, I was the highest in the men's division - 90.  Destoy, Ross and Tisha sung until 3:20am.  Destoy provided us the laughter due to his not-so-good render of songs.  Tisha was our emcee.

Jan. 28 - We had breakfast, some went to the museum.  Others went swimming like Jing, Destoy, Mar, Flor's apo, Elvie and husband, Merly, and me. We had our lunch at the waterfalls where your feet nakababad sa tubig.  A different kind of experience unless you experience eating in the floodwaters at Paco during our high school days. Incidentally today is our 33rd wedding anniversary.  Ang dami dumalo sa aming selebrasyon, pati mga turista nakasama. Bert Karingal together with his son and 2 apo came.
